Description Stunning 1962 BSA Super Rocket, 650cc twin

Reluctantly selling my show winning BSA Super Rocket after caring for it for the last 17 years. It has a BSA Owner's Club dating certificate confirming matching engine and frame numbers. Original Number plate. This bike starts and runs superbly with a real eagerness and response on the road. Lovely Triumph twin leading front brake assembly providing excellent stopping power but the rear is the standard BSA full width hub and is typically less efficient by modern standards.
Any viewing or inspection is invited by contacting me via ebay messaging service; location is Chichester, West Sussex.
Too good to let it go under value so a sensible reserve is in place.
Frame and wheels:
Triumph twin leading front brake assembly with outer fin machined off for more authentic look. Rear is standard full width hub as originally fitted.
Avon tyres with plenty of wear left. Stainless steel spokes front and rear, rims are the original chrome type and show minor pitting.
Stunning finish on fuel tank which really sets the bike off nicely. A7 Powder coated frame with centre stand and side stand fitted. All paintwork is in very good condition with only minor touching in of stone chips. Good seat with no scuffs or tears.
Slight 'blueing' on exhaust front pipes both systems are sound and deliver the classic A10 exhaust note.
Engine and Gearbox:
Full SRM engine rebuild in November 2011 with needle roller conversion. Less than 1,000 miles covered since.
Early RGS cylinder head (not 'big valve' type) converted for unleaded fuel.
Overhauled 6 volt dynamo electrics with conversion to belt drive. K2F magneto with auto advance/retard.
Triumph 4 spring clutch. Standard (Std) 4 speed gearbox.
Triumph external oil filter system fitted and nestled neatly out of sight behind frame.
Standard Amal carburettor with air filter, no choke.
Robust, well made motorcycle trailer is also available subject to separate negotiation.
