1984 Yamaha RZ500


Selling my immaculate 1984 Yamaha RZ500. Original Australian delivered bike (1985) with November 1984 compliance.


Approximately 20000km in total.  Speedo shows only 320km. Original was replaced when it stopped working at 19000km. Has since been repaired (but not reset - see pic) and will be sold with bike in case you want to refit.


Overall bike is in original, unmarked condition. No cracks or crazes in body panels and in perfect mechanical order. No grazes or scrapes around footpegs etc and original exhaust in excellent condition. Has been on NSW club plates, but these are not transferable so will be sold unregistered.


This is easily the best example of an RZ500 I have seen. If you're looking for one, you'll know that prices are increasing everywhere and it's hard to find an unmolested one. Bodywork on these has always been fragile - especially when fasteners are changed - but this one is excellent. Only blemish is a crack at the base of the screen (in the centre) from overtightened fastener. I have a spare (if I can find it!) and accurate copies are also available in Australia.


Inspection available (and encouraged) in Sydney, but please no tyre-kickers and of course no test rides. Message me to inspect or discuss bike further. Reason for selling - too many bikes, and I have two of these.


Bike is advertised elsewhere, so auction may end early if it's sold. 


Deposit of $1000 due via PayPal within 24 hours of winning bid, and balance within seven days. Happy to assist with pickup if you need to transport it elsewhere. Buyer to arrange and pay for transport.
