RARE FORWARD LOOK 1958 DESOTO FIREDOME COUPE BARN FIND For Sale

Sorry to keep relisting the car , but its very painful when people muck you around .  Please only contact me if you are serious to buy the car , and if you are thinking of buy a cool 50s car and don't understand what this car really is or what it takes to actually restore one of these cars , please move along and buy a chevy, Pontiac or the like .   There is a very good reason why the 58s (Coupes and Convertibles)  are so special , and why not many people get to own one as there are only a handful left now and it takes a lot to make them right , hence no pain no gain !  If you want something only a few other people around Australia have then here is your car .
For people who have called and are thinking it needs a set of points , some Mexican seat covers and its ready to drive as a survivor car , forget about it . The car needs a Full Rotisserie Restoration , it doesnt start as there are 2 stuck valves at this point ,it needs Sills , Front Floors , rear of Trunk Floor edge  , side of Right Trunk floor , In the Roof , rear pillars and lower rear quarters . Its a West coast Rust from sitting outside , it is not salt rust and in places like the chassis , inside the quarters , inside the front guards the car is excellent . Panel gaps are great and its very straight . The rust has only started from the top from water sitting on it here and there over the years .
Regrettably I have to sell my Super Super Rare 1958 Desoto Firedome coupe due to space problems .
The 58 Desoto is deemed by most to be the Ultimate and Most Glamous "Forward look " Winged Warrior . These cars were way ahead of their time in styling and engineering . These cars are still running their original 361 V8 295HP and 3 Speed Torqueflites , the first year of the normal and standard Big Block Wedge motor with simple spin on oil filter and this car has ball joints , so nothing is weird to repair or maintain on this car .
For those who don't know 1958 was a recession year and the 57 Desoto had many warranty claim problems leaving many cold to purchase a new one the next year . Hence not many got made in 1958 , even though they rectified all the faults of the 1957 model . So to find a Coupe in any condition is extremely hard to find now.
You can get 57 or 59 Desotos , but the die hards know the 1958 "Coupes" are the Elusive ones !
 This car is a true barn find and has been sitting in a Los Angeles backyard since 1973 due to a faulty rear brake problem . The car is a great reference car as everything under the hood is how its meant to be with the rare little brackets and the like all untouched . If you would like an unmolested car / Project and don't mind doing metalwork this would be a fantastic base for something amazing . It would make a great custom car or restore back to original .
 I have the Chrysler historic Paperwork on this car and I also have the import approval for the car .
I bought this car and had planned to restore it , But a dose of realism has changed my plans as I have had to accept I just don't have the room and facilities to do this car where I am . 
 This is a personal project as I love 58 Desotos  , I am not a dealer trying to flip this .  It owes me $13,300 to my door and I have all the paperwork to show  , so my loss is your gain .
