This much sought after tax exempt 1969 Triumph TR6R 650 Tiger has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!.
PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you may or may not know, here at DK Motorcycles we have very little knowledge or experience with these classic British bikes but luckily you aficionados usually put us right!?. As you can see this bike has got a few bits missing, a few bits damaged/broken, a few bits rusty/corroded, a few bits non standard & a few bits are very nice indeed.
The engine turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels ok & has compression but doesn't seem to be sparking so we haven't had it running.

The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.

HAVE GOT THE ORIGINAL AMERICAN CERTIFICATE OF TITLE

We will provide proof that VAT & Duty are paid on the NOVA system.

REGISTRATION

1.
You need to get the bike MOT’d.

2.
You need to prove the year of manufacture. The American Title will do
this.

3.
You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on
the chassis number.

4.
Send all this paper work to the DVLA, who will charge you £55 for
the 1st
registration & the current fee for the road tax.

5.
The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
