1958 RENAULT JUVAQUATRE VAN 70'S FRENCH CUSTOM NEEDS FINISHING For Sale

 Here is your chance to take on my project Juvaquatre. I found it in a barn in France back in June. I had it shipped over and welded up the rotten chassis. It is now fully UK registered with a UK V5. It is mot exempt and is currently taxed and insured so can actually be driven. The little van has been customized in France probably back in the 70's or 80's. The wings have been widened and the gutter has been removed around the rear bodywork. The rear lights are Citroen Ami and have been frenched with the use of bean tins. It now has Renault 5 Monacco front leather seats and a custom dash that needs wiring in. It has a Renault 12 ts engine 1289cc coupled to the original 3 speed transmission. It has a new starter motor and starts and runs well. All the brakes have been stripped and a new master cylinder fitted. It has also had all the wheel cylinders cleaned and new seals. The king pins are new so it is pretty much sorted mechanically now. When I got it there was no wiring loom I have made one up but it needs more work but everything works. I have driven it up the road and to be honest it doesn't drive particuarly well. Mainly due to the rear tyres which are massive and very old and hard. It really needs new rear tyres at least. I am pretty sure that Suzuki Vitara rims will fit on these so might be an idea to try a pair. I have just been to France and have a solid pair of doors and hopefully the correct inner door handles on the way.
What it needs is the bodywork sorting and the electrics tidyed up along with a pair of tyres on the back.
I am offering it for sale as I have other projects taking my time and space. Viewing is recommended as there is a lot of work still to do but it will look the business when it is done.
