2018 WINTER SALE.......LOOK BID BUY!!!
PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE PIC's & DESCRIPTION.
This very much sought after tax exempt 1973 Norton Commando 850 MK1A Cafe Racer has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 19478 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks.
We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it.
The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!.
PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you may or may not know, here at DK Motorcycles we have very little knowledge or experience with these classic British bikes but luckily you aficionados usually put us rite!?. As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – Tachometer needle being the most obvious. It has obviously been built into this Cafe Racer & he’s done a very nice job of it.
BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.........This is the actual bike you are bidding on – Not library pictures from yesteryear & it is every bit as nice as it looks here.....A true time warp machine!. The wheels are straight with nice clean rims, good hubs, brake plate, disc, caliper & working master cylinder. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Mudguard is solid & very tidy. Headlight & hangers are good. Instruments & switches look great but for the tacho needle. Carburetor is free sliding off the twist grip. Paintwork is fresh & very nice. Exhaust is a 2:1 & is very nice. The engine is cosmetically very clean, it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression BUT BEST OF ALL when we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it fresh fuel from a dummy tank it fires, starts, runs & revs.
This is only a very brief description….If you require any further information please give us a call or better still visit our showroom and have a good look over this bike & all the others we have on eBay for yourself – after all who are you going to believe me or your own eyes?
If you are ready for a new project & have been looking for a classic Norton 850 Commando to restore then look no further – THIS ONE COULD BE YOURS!!!
We are listing this bike as a trade clearance item with a super low WINTER MADNESS SALE starting price and LOW RESERVE so get bidding and get this project started.......Ask your self the question “CAN I AFFORD NOT TO BID?”

Please call MARK RUSHTON or NEIL WILSON or on 01782 861100 ext 244 or 241 who will be more than happy to answer any questions you have.
