This very rare and much sought after tax exempt 1971 Triumph T25T Trail Blazer has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!.
PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you may or may not know, here at DK Motorcycles we have very little knowledge or experience with these classic British bikes but luckily you aficionados usually put us rite!?. As you can see this bike has a few parts missing - Speedometer being the most obvious. It has obviously stood a while so the battery is flat, paintwork is faded, seat cover is perished.
BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.........This is the actual bike you are bidding on.
The wheels are straight with nice clean chrome rims, good hubs & brake plates. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Mudguards are both solid but dented. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. Carburetor is free sliding off the twist grip. Fuel tank is usably clean inside but has dents/marks & scratches in the paint. Exhaust is solid. Seat base is in good condition throughout. Indicators are tidy. The engine is cosmetically very clean, it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression - We have had it firing/running on easystart spray but the fuel system & carb will need attention.

The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.

We HAVE NOT got the American Title (Registration Document)
but we will provide proof of NOVA from Customs & Excise to show
we have paid VAT & duty, this will be provided with an official
V55/5 form for 1st registration application.

REGISTRATION

1. You need to get the bike MOT’d.

2. You need to prove the year of manufacture.
Phone North Leicester Motorcycles on 01530 263381 with the frame &
engine Numbers, for a small fee they will send you a letter
confirming the age.

3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike.
You can insure it on the chassis number.

4. Post this to the DVLA who will charge you £55
for the 1st registration & the current amount for the
road tax.

5. The DVLA will post you your age related
registration number.
