This very much sought after tax exempt 1976 Yamaha TT500C Enduro – Flat tracker has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!.
PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike has got a few bits missing, a few bits damaged/broken, a few bits rusty/corroded, a few bits non standard & a few bits are very nice indeed.
The big Mikuni carburetor is free sliding off the fast action twist grip. Alloy fuel tank is squeaky clean inside. Shock absorbers are damping fine. The engine is from a 1979 TT500F it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression BUT BEST OF ALL when we got one of our young apes to jump on the kick starter it fires, starts, runs & revs.

The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.

We HAVE
NOT got the Certificate of title but we will provide proof that
the VAT & Duty is paid on the NOVA system.

REGISTRATION

1.
You need to
get the bike MOT’d.

2.
You need to
prove the year of manufacture in writing. Phone Yamaha UK customer
services on 01932 358000 with the Model, frame & engine Numbers
for a small fee they will send you a letter confirming the age.

3.
You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on
the chassis number.

4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA, who will
charge you £55 for the 1st registration & the current
amount for the road tax.

5. The DVLA will send you your age related
registration number.
