This very rare and much sought after tax exempt 1974 Kawasaki Z1A 900 has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it.
We all know what high prices these iconic bikes command when restored - The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!.
PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike has got a few bits missing, a few bits damaged/broken, a few bits rusty/corroded & a few bits are very nice indeed.
The wheels are straight with chrome rims, good hubs, brake plate, disc & caliper. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Mudguards are both solid. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight hangers. Instruments look ok. Paintwork is faded but solid, fuel tank is usably clean inside and has just minor dents/marks & scratches in the original paint. Exhausts are solid. Seat base is in good condition throughout. Chain guard is tidy. The engine is cosmetically clean, it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression BUT BEST OF ALL when we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it fresh fuel from a dummy tank it fires, starts, runs but carbs will need attention.

HAVE NOT got the Certificate of Title but we will provide
proof that VAT & Duty is paid on the NOVA system.

REGISTRATION

1.
You need to
get the bike MOT’d.

2.
You need to
prove the year of manufacture in writing. Phone Kawasaki UKs customer
services on 01628 856643 with the frame & engine Numbers,

3.
You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on
the chassis number.

4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA, who will
charge you £55 for the 1st registration & the current
amount for the road tax.

5.
The DVLA
will send
you your
age related registration number.
