This very much sought after tax exempt 1975 Suzuki TS185M Trail has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 4240 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks.
We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it.
The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!.
PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike has got a few bits missing, a few bits damaged/broken, a few bits rusty/corroded & a few bits are very nice indeed.
Instruments look great. Carburetor is free sliding off the twist grip. Exhaust is original & solid. Seat base is in good enough condition to restore. The engine turns over off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression - We have had it firing/running on easystart spray but the fuel system & carb will need attention......don't fret we didn't run it long.

The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.

We HAVE
NOT got the certificate of title but we will provide proof that
VAT & Duty is paid on the NOVA system.

REGISTRATION

1.
You need to
get the bike MOT’d.

2.
You need to
prove the year of manufacture in writing. Phone Suzuki UKs customer
support on 0500 011959 (press opt 2 & opt 2 again) with the Model
type, frame & engine Numbers, they will organize an application
for a dating letter – there is a charge for this service.

3.
You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on
the chassis number.

4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA, who will
charge you £55 for the 1st registration & the current
amount for the road tax.

5. The DVLA will send you your age related
registration number.
