Triumph T140 - Rat bike - Survivor - Street Tracker - Bar hopper For Sale

This bike has been completely rebuilt including the engine and purposely refinished to maintain and add  its Patina of age Engine stripped and rebuilt from the sludge trap up - new seals / gaskets /piston rings - and bearings replaced as necessary - no rattles - no smoke - no leaks 
frame stripped and sprayed including some areas of crazing to give the effect of age (more patina)
Petrol tank and mudguards sprayed and then rubbed back to expose under layers then clear coated - to give the effect of being well used (there is that patina again)
wheels have some rust pits but they have been neutralized and wiped over with ACF50 - tyres are TT100s with most of their life left
some fasteners have very light rust but most have been replated zinc but to a dull finish (that P word again)
brakes have all been rebuilt - disc skimmed / new pads / s/steel rear M/cylinder / braided steel hoses / calipers rebuilt new seals
electrics rewired - modern reg/rec - points have been retained - Bates type headlight - LED rear light 


Bike is listed on the V5 as first registered in 1981 -"built from parts some or all of which were not new"


frame and engine number are correct to the V5 which is in my name -- the frame number is not a factory number - it has a number stamped when it was built and accepted by the DVLA - the engine number is a factory stamped number - the case halves have matching numbers  ( so to be clear ;; the frame and engine numbers do not match)


forks rebuilt with new seals and tubes --- bars are Western type - just a speedo is fitted no rev clock - seat has wear and repairs 


this bike has been to the last  two IOM TTs and Manx - so is a well settled and reliable bike - not a lashed together  new build


- dont want to sell it but it needs to go to provide funds for the next project - so will be looking for a 1969 T120R project bike - maybe an exchange if Ebay allows
