Description 1964 Morris minor traveller

MORRIS MINOR TRAVELLER

1964

EMD 209B

Offered for sale our 1964 Morris traveller, In very good restored
condition.

New MOT until Sept 2018- No
advisory’s.

Originally road registered in May 1964 this Traveller was originally
purchased by a Mr A.E Braggins of Montpelier rise, Wembley from the Morris
agent Campbell Symonds & co of Western Avenue, Ealing W5.

It has had eight owners since and now shows 82,775 miles.

EMD 209B has undergone a huge amount of recent work and has just
returned to the road following a fairly exhaustive program of works.

The works carried out have been concentrated on, making the car both
smart and mechanically sound, whilst not quite concours the car would be happy
at a show or being used as a daily driver if one so wished.

The Ash woodwork has been completely replaced and has just been
finished, so that’s an expensive headache not to worry about, the clutch has
also been replaced with a new Borg & Beck item, the brakes have been
overhauled including, new back plates, new drums (front), new brake shoes
throughout, and new hoses, springs, pipes and brake cylinders.

New fuel tank.

The wheels have also been shod with new Toyo premium tyres from Bull
Motif, a set of new hubcaps and recent paint finish them off nicely.

The engine benefits from new rubber water pipes, both overflow and
bypass, distributor cap, leads, condenser, points, spark-plugs etc.

The engine bay is in very good condition throughout and nicely detailed.

The paintwork is good, a fairly recent job in cellulose and very smart,
although the odd small blemish is to be found, it looks very smart and shiny.

The underside of the car is very solid, undersealed and obviously the
odd welding patch here and there, no advisorys on the MOT, so nothing imminent
to worry the next owner here.

The interior is smart enough, it’s the desirable duo-tone deluxe
pattern, its showing its age and patinated, so room for improvement but easily
done, the front driver’s seat is a modern replacement, we had intended to
replace… but included is a restored seat frame ready to trim up (seat covers
and trim are easily available from Newton Commercial), the carpet is smart and
the rear seats and door panels are in good original condition, boot is
carpeted.

(front kick panels missing in photos have now been replaced with new
Newton items).

Viewings welcome, but please no time wasters, V5c in my name.

Overall a smart Morris traveller that we have spent a fair amount on
recently to bring up to a good standard, now somewhat reluctantly for sale to
fund my wife’s wish for an early 2CV!.
