1971 BMW R60/5 For Sale

lots of things have been done to this bike. Since I've owned it from 1999 here is a list.
Included in the sale are random parts, some new, some used. 2 HJC half helmets, L & M, small leather chaps. Please see pictures. I just recently bought a 2017 GS so no room or time to ride the classic. It's time for a new home.
This is a nice bike. I would ride it cross country and back. It ran well on points and when I put a Dyna III in there it doesn't skip a beat. Does not smoke at all.
All maintenance was either done by myself or if out of my league by Martindale Motorcycle Works in San Marcos TX or by Angel City Cycle here in Los Angeles where the bike has been for the last 11 years.
13 years ago complete rebuild of bike except for engine bottom end.
1) New wiring harness ( updated to later model /5 with 2 fuses )
2) /6 switch custom mounted into side of headlight bucket ( no more sandwich plate problems )
3) New clutch and throw-out bearing
4) all new bearings ( steering, wheels and swing arm )
5) all new cables
6) painted
7) lots of new rubber
8) carbs rebuilt
9) new diode board, starter relay, charging armature.

1) new paint on cases and tank and headlight bucket. trunk carpet put in side cases

1) Complete top end rebuild with new valves, guides, +3 bmw pistons and cylinders bored to match pistons ( all machine work outsourced professionally )
2) new shocks
3) new tires
4) new drum brakes front and back.
5) new rear wheel bearing
