For years now, Motodrome have provided 2 videos, a walkaround
and a driving one, one each of the cars we’ve listed. So many customers have
told us they found them extremely helpful when making a buying decision. Sadly,
from June 2017 eBay are refusing to allow us to display videos in listings –
apparently to ‘enhance the customer experience’...

The good news is that the videos for each vehicle will still
be available, either on our own website or via our YouTube
channel Motodrome Land Rover.

Motodrome are very pleased to offer this 1956 example of a
Series 1 Land Rover 86in Station Wagon, 
smartly refinished in it’s original Grey with Limestone roof and blue
trim.

In  seven-seater spec,
with 4 individual folding rear seats, freewheel front hubs, working Smiths
round heater, and towbar.

An original UK home-market example (still wearing it’s
original registration number and with the correct –period 2.0 engine fitted),
the last owner went through it carefully and fitted many new parts to make it
eminently usable rather than a trailer queen. We had an interesting telephone conversation with a guy from Yorkshire who recognised it from our website, and who bought it in 1994 from its original owner since 1956, and who was able to offer some interesting insights into it's history. It seems, before it came to us, that it's spent most if not all it's life in Yorkshire. 

It’s full of character and on test it performed superbly –
it’s my current favourite of all our stock.

Further detail:

It was quite well-repainted in 2014 in the original Grey , and it's very straight, with no big dents etc. . Both scuttle corners appear to have been repaired some years ago,  and both A posts are excellent, as are footwells. . See video for more details. . Obviously expect small dents, little areas of paint loss, slightly wavy panels and minor imperfections etc, and blemishes give it character, but all I can really point out is a small area of paint loss on top of the NSF wing, and a crack in the paint on the tailgate . Starts on the button and performed superbly on  test run on arrival, and  doesn't  display any signs of hesitancy, misfiring, or overheating, with a nice gearbox etc, good steering and a particularly good ride quality for a leafer.  . . . See video on our website for full appraisal
