1962 Mercury COMET Custom Edition with No Rust and Perfect Interior (Calif. Car) For Sale

     This 1962 Comet has only had 2 owners. It was purchased by my friend's uncle brand new and then he gave it to my friend. It eventually came to me and I would like to pass it onto someone who can fix it up better than me. I think this is a rare find because all the original parts are there and in good condition, and there is no rust. I live in Santa Rosa CA in Wine County by Napa Valley. This car has lived here as well its whole life and it is 100% rust free. The interior is in unbelievable shape as you can see in the pictures.       It was missing the radiator when I got it so I bought a brand new radiator and we put new spark plugs and wires and points. We also added a fuel pump. We can start the car and it will run for a few minutes but its would do good with a rebuild. You can't start this car and drive it on the street...but it runs. Possible some on your could drive this thing to town after a few hours of tinkering...but I'm not good. This car would be a great candidate for someone who would like to do a complete restoration. I have the original fuel pump still and the Air cleaner and carburetor cover (not shown).


Here are the only defects I know of:
Small dent in trunk lid
Rear drivers door does not latch shut
Gas tank line not connected
Transmission lines not yet connected to the new radiator
One missing tail light lense
One broken headlight


The good: 
No Rust
Only 1 Family Owner Car
Excellent interior
All the ORIGINAL parts are there.

A deposit through Paypal of $500 is due within 3 days of the auction's close or we will have to relist the car or offer it to the next lowest bidder. Full payment is due within 10 days of auction's close. I would prefer the car be picked up as soon as possible but once it's paid for I can store it here for up to 4 weeks while you arrange transport. Its up to the buyer to arrange towing or a car delivery service. ...or take a trip to California and pick it up in person! 


This has a super low reserve...and I'm not just saying that...its VERY low!
