Range Rover Classic Two Door Registered 01/05/1978 2 former keepers, Last since 1980 what was he thinking letting it get in this condition...all that aside these two door V8 engine muscle Range Rovers are highly sort after and due to their rarity are now becoming a huge investment opportunity and like most 70's English cars are better than money in the bank! This one will be in the Historic vehicle class as of Jan 2018 so you will have the pleasure of all the classic V8 grunt and not pay road tax!


It has been left in a garage for some 20 plus years and I would say although it was not the driest of garages I have seen these put up for sale in a much much worse condition than this one and still get snapped up! Due to the length of time this has been standing obviously no attempt has been made to start the engine as those of you into restorations know it can do more harm than good but the engine is complete so you have the basis to work on it as you wish.


As you will see from the images some small bits are missing but I would say Its mainly all there, over the years the keys have been lost but a replacement key and barrel are available on eBay.
Other than that I am not going to list what is or is not missing in case I miss something so just study the pictures as this is part of my description but if you need to know about something specific please ask and I will assist you as best I can.


I have Log book, vehicle has the vin tag in place, However at some point the chassis has been changed probably due to rust rot and lists another chassis number which we have checked and comes back as unregistered with DVLA so this chassis is not stolen or written off but at some stage it has been deregistered with DVLA or not been taxed for so long its gone in to DVLA archive, While restoring I am sure your know how to replace this the correct way,
