The Mercedes classic enthusiasts will no doubt be aware the RHD versions of the W114 COUPE are becoming very rare to source. A truly Iconic shape of the 1970's. With its straight body lines and beautifully fashioned lights/grill. A car that brings about nostalgia for anyone who was raised in the 1970-80's. As every MB fanatic will tell you "They don't make them like they used to". Referring to the build quality of that era. This can be visually observed if one travels to any African or Middle Eastern country. The W114,W123, W124 are still being used as regular run about vehicles.
This car has had a total over haul with hundreds of new parts fitted for safety and to modernize the running gear.
I am personally a big fan of Mercedes Benz Classic Cars. (Circa 1970 - 1990's my favourite period. Up to and including the early W202 chassis). Therefore, I like to keep the car as Mercedes intended. With OEM parts and keeping exterior features like Hub caps, Steering wheel...etc all stock, as they say in the US.
Works completed from Feb 2015 - Feb 2016 include:

New bushes, New Front sub-frame mountings, Engine mounts, New rubbers all round (Doors, Boot, Grill, Handles..etc), Complete Sub-frame cleaned, Primer with Zinc Oxide and Painted.

Rust from floor panels cut out and Plates welded in, Seam sealed and coated with Zinc Oxide paint.New front screen. New rubbers for front and rear screens.

New carpets, New exhaust,New tyres, Electronic Ignition fitted (pertronix electronic ignition, Points and Transistor removed). New battery, New Bosch Coil, New Leads, new Plugs, Reconditioned Injectors (Mr Injector Suffolk), New Ball joints (Febi- Bilstein) , Bush kits (febi), Track rod arms, Steering damper...............etc. The list is endless. (All parts either MB, Bosch, Febi, Mahle, Or Mann)

New rear seat belts (Anchored on the parcel shelf) New rear Speaker. New Door Speaks. New Bluetooth stereo fitted. Dash Speaker working.

IMPORTANT AREAS TO ADDRESS:
Bearing noise coming for rear near-side half shaft. (More noticeable at low speed. But will need addressing. I recently got the rear nearside noise diagnosed by Colin Ferns independent specialist. The rear baring will need replacing. I have the MB part. But no time to fit it. (Quoted 4 hours labour) While driving the Car down from Lincolnshire last week (14th April 2017) the Vinyl roof did rip during a cruise down the A1 near Hatfield. I was forced to remove the centre Vinyl completely as I did not want it flying on other drivers. But I am also glad it happen while the car is still in my ownership. Had it have happened under a new owner, i dont think they'd be best pleased. Thankfully I had the hindsight to spray the Roof before vinyl was placed on. (However the roof is sprayed in a Silver - Colour match is DB147 MB Paint) - However this will need attention ASAP. Unfortunately I don't have the time or funds at the moment. But to give you an idea of cost. To get the roof re-sprayed it would be roughly £450. (Two pack colour. No Clear coat needed)
The Sunroof is a sealed unit. Also the interior Head liner will need replacing. (Sylchester Garage near Reading are professionals at this. Or D-Class Automotive. Chobham)
Two pieces of trim also need sourcing. (They run along the A -Pillar)

The new Boot rubber needs re-sealing with impact adhesive.
Vacuum system for the central locking/ Front seats not working. The door system shouldn't be hard to get operational.
The car is priced to Sell.
(Price has been further reduced to 7500 from the original asking price of 8900. As I don't wish to keep re-listing on here. I only really use it as a means of advertising. I don't have the funds to complete the small bits that need doing, hence my only resort is to bite the bullet and let it go)
I would recommend potential genuine interested parties to email me to view and go for a test drive with me. However, I have been as thorough as I can be about the car.
