The Daimler has mot until 19 February 2018 it comes

paperwork is all documented by every single receipt from this Daimlers
enthusiast most of the paperwork is all back to back we laid just some of it

This Daimler has come from a true enthusiast and has
kept the car in tip top condition the car was always kept in the garage, the
paintwork is excellent for a car of this age, the interior is also excellent
with immaculate clean carpets there’s no cracks to the dashboard through sun
damage which was quite common for these cars, the doors have a real solid clunk
when closing a real quality car.

It’s in superb order and drives absolutely fantastic
with superb oil pressure and a beautiful smooth gear change, under the bonnet
has a very clean engine bay (Please see photo) The elderly gentleman had the
engine rebuilt in 2007 when the rear engine oil seal was replaced and it has
done very little miles since.

This Car oozed quality in the 1970s and you had to
be quite wealthy to own one, 3,235 of these first generations were built a
badged engine version the Daimler Double 6 was introduced in 1972 revealing the
Daimler model name of 1926/1938 only 534 short wheel versions were made the
short wheel base offered here has been owned for over 32 years and there had
only been 2 previous owners its displaying 32,550 miles, there is a letter from
the first owner confirming 39,000 miles after 12 years and had a speedo change
at 48,975and is now
showing 32,550 miles.

The XJ12 version was announced in July 1972,
featuring simplified grille treatment and was powered by a 5.3 litre V12
engine. The car as presented at that time was the worlds only mass-produced
12-cylinder four-door car and with a top speed “around 140mph” as the “fastest
full four-seater available in the world today”. Although it had been the
manufacturers intention from launch that the XJ would take the twelve-cylinder
engine, its installation was nonetheless a tight fit and providing adequate
cooling had evidently been a challenge for the engineers designing the
installation.

This Daimler is a very solid example indeed and is
