Description 1967 Vauxhall Viva HB 1159

A reluctant sale of my mini muscle car.  I've had this car for nearly 3 years and it has been a joy to own and drive.  It's about as simple as a car can be with very little in the way of electronics.  There have been some obvious modifications to get this car looking the way it is and would now benefit from being owned by an enthusiast that has a lot more time than I do.  With two businesses, 3 kids and an active triathlon schedule I do not have the time for this hobby any more.

Modifications from original car (as far as I know):

 - Respray in black
 - Banded-steel rear rims
 - Jaguar headlights
 - Custom-made front grill
 - Conversion to unleaded fuel
 - Electronic ignition
 - Swan-neck gear stick with a cover plate
 - Pressure guage
 - Electric fan (with rocket launcher switch to turn it on :))

In my ownership I have done a lot to bring the car up to a better standard than I bought it in.  The previous owner did an ok job on the styling but some of the other choices made were a little dubious.  As such I have done the following:

 - Replaced carb with original spec version (new old stock)
 - Replaced lowered spring for remanufactured original specs
 - Replaced rear shocks
 - Replaced front and read window seals
 - Replaced both rear trailing suspension arms
 - Replaced both front ball joints
This car has been well looked after by me (via a local mechanic) and I have lots of receipts to go with it.  I am also getting a tune up done tomorrow (Monday 10th) to ensure that it is on top form for the new owner.

I have a whole folder of paperwork for this car including the original bill of sale!  I also have various spare parts such as seals, wheels and some of the original bits taken off the car during its modification stage (front lights for example).

Being 50 years old this car does not come without the odd issue.  These are the ones I know about:

 - Paint is starting to blister and bubble so would benefit from a respray in the next few years (see picture of bonnet for the worst bits)
 - Very small oil leak (1 drop per day max)
 - Passenger window mechanism does not work well making is safe to only roll window down slightly
 - Small water leak somewhere in the driver-side door seal but only noticeable when it rains very heavily
 - Driver seat is slightly beaten up (see picture also)
 - Odometer is very, very unlikely to be correct.  I believe it has done 115,631 miles

This is certainly not a pristine classic but is something you can use and enjoy regularly.  It makes quite a racket when driving and gets a lot of attention.

Given that parts are sometimes difficult to find I would recommend this is bought by a classic car enthusiast or at least someone who is planning to join a members club.

Tax is obviously £0 and the insurance costs me around £100 per year!

Please, please come and see this car before making any significant bids.  This is a very rare and special car and I want to ensure the person buying it has taken the time to inspect it fully.

Good luck bidding and please ask me any questions you may have.
