Description 1979 Aston Martin V8 Volante
For sale with Barons Classic Car Auctioneers on Tuesday 18th July Barons Connoisseurs Classic Car Collection at Sandown Park, KT10 9AJ
The "Oscar India" specification was introduced in October 1978 at the Birmingham International Motor Show. Visually, the former scoop on the bonnet gave way to a closed power bulge, while a spoiler was integrated into the tail. Most Oscar India cars were equipped with a Chrysler Torqueflite three-speed automatic transmission. Just 352 Oscar India models were built from 1978 through 1985. The convertible Volante was introduced in June 1978, and by 1981, the success of the Volante meant that the Coupé model was only built to order.
This delightful Aston Martin Volante Oscar India has only had 4 previous owners, the current owner having owned it for 10 years. The vendor states that the car is in very good condition. The sills etc were replaced not many years ago, and the vehicle was inspected by Rikki Cann, the Aston Specialists who have known and serviced the car between 1981 and 2007. On purchase by the current owner in 2007 Rikki Cann gave the car a clean bill of health. The car has 20 years worth of MOT certificates in the history file.
Guide price: £120,000 to £145,000
