Description 1971 ROKON Scout 2WD Motorcycle

I saw this bike on EBay just over 3 years ago and had to have it. So, I purchased it, and have put only about 5 miles on it.  Periodically, I would go to my basement, take it outside, and crank it and bike around my home a few times, climb a rock pile, and climb up and over my brick front porch.  The 2-speed transmission and clutch works great.  It has always crank and run good.

I don't think it has a lot of miles on it. It is a 1971 Model, Scout, I think, with PowerBee Chrysler engine, model #82031, S/N 2946 .  The motor is strong for what it is.  The bike is S/N 02641.  One plus for this bike is that none of the engine bolts, carburetor, screws, other components, or the drive train show any evidence of ever being worked on.  This is a good thing !  The chains and sprockets are in great shape.

There are manuals online (free) to download if needed.  The gas/oil mixture from manufacturer states 25: 1.  I've done this and use Stihl synthetic mixing oil.  The front disc on the front fork chain gear box is a brake and the disc has a lot of play on the geat box shaft.  Drilling and a set screw might fix it, but it will likely need a new disc in the future.

I recently replaced the seat and made it fit properly with a seat off of a Norton bike.  It is not original, but it is comfortable.   The gun case is hard outside, soft inside.  If I keep it, that would come off as I would have no use for it. There is a surface rust on the front rack, and a few other places.  Also, the front handlebars don't quite line up perpendicular with the front tire.  I think this can be fairly easy to adjust.  Plus, once you start moving, it isn't noticed.

Let me know if you would like a video of it cranking and running.  It may take me a couple days.
