1962 Wolseley 24/80 For Sale
- Wolseley
Description 1962 Wolseley 24/80
Earlier sale fell through. This vehicle has to go due to storage issues. First one in with $2800 gets it. This car should be known to NSW Wolseley Club members, and as a good vehicle. I can't mention names, obviously, but ex-Sydney, where it's then owner overhauled the engine, then Goulburn, then Grenfell (last two same owner) and now Yass. Passed for club rego. Fo8rmer trophy winning car with reco motor and transmission. 102,000 miles. Interior still all leather seat facings, and original speckled carpets in good order. Needs a polish, and a chrome strip for the bootlid, but already presents 8 out of 10. Runs beautifully. Was passed for club rego,, which I didn't go through with and now needs a new muffler-that's the only fault of which I'm aware. Has been a Wolseley car club vehicle for many years, and I'm sure will be recognised as such. Priced at less than what it owes me, and with minimal work will be a great club/driver for decades to come. On 21-Apr-17 at 21:26:49 AEST, seller added the following information:
I've been asked for engine and boot shots. Sorry, can't provide as I'm away for the next few days. This car is about as good as you'll get without a complete restorarion. Under bonnet is something you'd be proud to show any day. Same with the boot. The mat has some tears, but no evidence of rust or accident damage. The previous owner but one was from Sydney, a Wolseley Club member and rebuilt and repainted the motor to at least new specs. If I wasn't moving, it wouldn't be on here, and it's worth a bloody sight more than the reserve. I'd drive this car 300k's without lifting the bonnet.
