Description 1909 Excelsior Board Track racer replica

This is a hand fabricated Bike, built to look and feel just like the original bare bones, racers, except they have a rear brake for safety! This one just spent several days and quite a few miles in Daytona for Bike Week, my son and I both bringing down and riding our replicas! Definite crowd pleasers! Excelsior was setting amazing records like in august of 1911 at Riverview Motordrome, their rider Joe Wolters, beat Indian's speed record by hitting 88.9 mph. Excelsior's rider, Lee Humiston, set the record in 1912 for being the first motorcyclist in the world to be timed at 100 mph.Yes, leaving Indian and Harley in it's dust.
My son and I have spent years, getting the authentic 100 year old look, with the distressed paint, building bikes that can be ridden or hung on a wall for display, preferably ridden! They have authentic drop loop frames, which we fabricate on a custom jig, we also make the racing handlebars, rear stand,  strutted front end and install the 66cc, 3hp, two stroke motors, proven for their mpg and durability. They get 75 -100 mpg and go 30 mph, all day long. What a blast to ride, not comfortable, with your knees in your chest but you look good! Take a good look at the photos, you will see the effort put in to authenticity, detail and quality, not just a motor bolted into a bicycle!
We partially disassemble them to crate and ship, so you'll need some basic mechanical skills to reassemble them and maintain them. The shipping is over and above the auction final bid, $250, by FedEx. I require a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction and the balance before I ship, through Paypal. This has worked well for years and I have had no unsatisfied customers. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
These machines are sold as fully functional works of art for display purposes. Each state has it's own laws on registering and inspecting motorized bicycles and should the buyer choose to register and ride this bike then they do so fully at their own risk. The seller will not be held liable in any way should the buyer choose to ride said bike or get injured in any way. The purchase of said motorized bike is the buyers total agreement with these statements.
Indian, Harley, Thor, Crocker, Yale, Triumph, BSA, Pioneer, Ace, Cyclone, Henderson, Excelsior
