line-height:normal">1974 Yamaha YDS7 250cc

Features                               Low Mileage                 Original                 Full MOT                 UK Registered                 Very good condition               Original Classic In Very Good Condition

line-height:normal">A remarkable original and unrestored version of an iconic two stroke
showing only 10,235 miles. The bike was a USA import which is now UK registered
on an age related plate.

.0001pt;line-height:normal">The bike is a genuine survivor from the 70’s and really does not need
restoring, potentially taking the historic original patina away from the bike.
But if restoring is your thing, then you have the perfect base to start from,
as the bike is absolutely right.

.0001pt;line-height:normal">Exhausts not scratched, rusted, welded or gravel damaged, pegs are in
good nick. Paint work is original throughout having never been painted or
repaired, of course there are a few dints and scratches as you would expect
from a 42 year old standard un-restored motorcycle. The tank is clean on the
inside.

.0001pt;line-height:normal">Motor, cases, chrome work and all hardware is original and tidy. Forks
are un-marked and work fine, the front fender is original and is in good
condition bar a small patch of damage at the front LHS corner.

.0001pt;line-height:normal">All the original parts are present and correct and where they should be,
even the stock grey cables and original seat. Starts, rides and runs, is responsive,
rides as it should with no nasty noises, changes gears with no clutch slip or
drag and handles well, the bike is ready to ride and sounds great. The motor is
very quiet.

.0001pt;line-height:normal">The front drum brake has got loads of bite and works really well.

.0001pt;line-height:normal">The original Takasago wheel rims are in good condition and fitted with
new period TT100 tyres, front is new, the rear has loads of life in it.
Sprockets and chain replaced, along with fork seals. The right hand exhaust
does have a small area of battery acid breather damage discoloring the
chrome in the area by the rear foot peg, all in all nothing major.

.0001pt;line-height:normal">Mot tested to October 2017 with matching Frame and
Engine numbers for those who wish to know.

.0001pt;line-height:normal">The pictures are a good reflection of how the bike
is today, I have more available, please e-mail me and I will be happy to send.

.0001pt;line-height:normal">Will consider a part exchange with another classic motorcycle.

.0001pt;line-height:normal">The bike is a hoot to ride, a load of fun, I believe the mileage to be
genuine due to the general condition of the bike and how it rides.
