1990 RENAULT 5 GT TURBO .SPARES OR REPAIR (PROJECT) For Sale

 up for auction is my renault 5 gt turbo it has done 76923 miles and has been off the road since 2001 i do have the booklet with the service history on it stamped up to 48477  i have owned this for a few years i bought it with intentions of restoring it but i have 2 other cars needing restored and one has to go due to space and the r5 was the last one bought so its 1st to go :(

so as u can see from the pics i have posted the shell is bad and will require a lot of panels and welding but i have seen worse and saved worse r5s when i bought the car a few hours were spent on getting it running and it fired up and was ticking over quite happy second the throttle was touched it would cut out so as u would expect the carb is needing a strip down and clean and rebuild the engine itself sounded great no smoke no issues at all. the car apart from the exhaust system and spax suspension and what u see in the engine bay the car is standard and i have all the original hoses etc for the engine bay that will come with the car even the original radiator is there as it has the uprated copper one fitted 


the interior of the car is standard and in great shape the outside lower bolster on both seats the padding has lost its shape easy enough to get repaired the cloth is in great condition no fag burns etc the carpet needs a hover but same again good condition all the plastics are good no cracks or snaps headling is perfect same for the sun visors ect the rear parcel shelf  needs a hover its not bent sagged cut etc the boot carpet is there and the plastic side hatches and the rear tub covers the rear door cards material has started to come off the door card but easy enough fix the material is in good condition though the front door cars the passenger side has a little bit of damage on it where u would rest your elbow on it but thats it over all interior wise the car is in superb condition 


the exterior bumpers as u can see in the pic the front lower corner of the front bumper has a section broken off it but i do have that piece and will be able to repaired easy enough the bump strips are perfect the skirts and kit are all present and in one piece can still see the plastic texture on them the side skirts one has a missing rubber seal that sits on top of the skirt so that will need to be sourced 


the engine has various gt tuning parts on it and samco hoses on it i have sold some of the alloy canisters and intercooler and swirl pots and the horrid ally oil cap as u can see in the engine bay pics as i wanted to put the car standard but all original parts are there in the box to build it back up what u see is what u get in the pics. the car will require an aei unit as my friends 5 broke down and was not getting a spark the old part is there it might be the coil it might be the unit we just swapped the full lot just for quickness and if the new owner wants i can fit the aei unit of the other 5 back on  to show that it runs if u want


                                                                                                   
NOW ITS RUST TIME HERE WE GO   

the rear drivers quarter as u can see in the pics needs replaced and a bit of the inner side at base of the window aswell needs repaired 
both outer sills are needing replace along with some of the lower sections off the inner sill
both front jack points need replaced 
rear jack points will need redone as well along with the inner sill they are attached to 
both rear corners of the bumpers were they attache look to need a bit of welding probs easier to replace that section as the little panels are easy made or bought
the boot lid is rotten on the inside but i do have another one there that will come with the car that needs a few holes fixed from when it had a prima racing spoiler on it 
the battery tray is  pile of crumbs on the floor in my garage lol and the bulk head section at the battery tray needs some welding done its solid on the interior side of it but the firewall side defo need some work 
the passenger floor need very little welding as u can see from the pic 
the driver side needs some welding at the front as picture once again for a 5 i have fixed worse
the chassis rail on the underside at the front driver side needs a small section done i havent chapped it but it looks like its seen better days mibi 6 inches worth 
the passenger side door inner lower rear corner needs repaired
the windscreen scuttle has a few areas of rust needing repaired easy enough defo doesnt look to need a new panel


ebay only lets me put 12 photos on but i have took about 45 pics today of inside outside and underside of the car and will email them to anyone who wants them
