Description 1938 Norman Motobyk

 1938 Norman Motobyk
I restored this some 20 years ago and had it running. I suspended it from the roof of a shed to save space but after six months the cable snapped and it dropped to earth bending the frame and forks. The forks were professionally straightened but I never got down to sorting out the main frame. The good news is that the Imperial size tubing is still available and an ability to braze would be an advantage. The lugs appear to be undamaged. The first photo shows it in its restored condition in 1996. The tyres are unworn and hold their pressure and the wheels are straight and serviceable.
There is also a box of spare bits including a magneto - probably enough to get it running again. The Autocycle Club certified its make and age (needed for registration for road use).
The only new bits on it are the saddle (an eBay repro), the tyres and wheels and the rear stand otherwise it is completely original. It is also clean and grease-free (but a bit dusty). Spare parts are easy to obtain for the engine (it is a Villiers lawn-mower engine, after all).
Buyer to get in contact within 2 days and collect within 7 days of the auction finishing. I will let the auction run its course so no offers. Cash on collection.
