Description 1965 mustang fastback gt

1965 Mustang GT. 4 speed, totally rust free West coast Mustang, built in San Jose, CA and lived in Nevada its entire life. Originally silver smoke grey metallic paint. (dark blue-silver) Previous owner had adhesive molding down both sides so there are no dents or dings anywhere except for a small corner on rear valance exhaust outlet. Chrome, glass is all in excellent condition, no damage to underside, bottom fender edges, rockers, floor pans all straight. Doors, hood trunk all close perfect and aligned perfect (except for the standard mustang factory trunk mis-alignment)  Looks as if its never been driven over a curb.  Because I never drove this car.  I bought it to restore last year because I had a classic car restoration shop at the time and its the greatest car ever built in the history of the world. A few months ago I turned into a grandfather and started a new business so I'm selling my favorite car originally built in a dark blue silver color.  The best color.  It is a legitimate GT optioned car. disc front brakes, larger GT master cylinder, sway bar, correct exhaust, suspension, correct stampings, etc... If you need pictures of the 50 weird spots that indicate GT option or any other info,  I can take pictures next time I'm at my shop. There are stamped metal parts only done on a GT that people have to drill out when they are building a tribute fake car.  This was just going to get an interior, black primer and basic tuning and freshening up and was going to be driven like Steve McQueen until it actually needed to be fully restored.  I took the instrument panel out and have a new one I was putting in with the vintage SW gauges it had. The trunk has a lot of new old parts and I have fender GT badges but they are checked from the sun.  I haven't had the time to tear into the engine but it will start and I don't know how many miles and haven't researched if its original block because I don't care.  I hot rod everything anyway.  I can research that this week because I'm sure someone is going to want to know. All I can see is that it was built up like I would have done it in the 80s-90s with a roller valvetrain, Edelbrock, Holly ignition, Headman headers, Hurst 4 speed.  No rust or body damage anywhere. This is a resto or resto-mod guys dream of a starting point and would have been the easiest build in my life if I could keep it.

Please email with any questions, leave your phone # and I will call or send whatever info you need.  Thank You!  - Ben,    Reno, NV
