Description FORD FALCON XD GENUINE T CODE 5.8 351 POLICE INTERCEPTOR SURVIVOR CAR

I have for sale a matching numbers T code 5.8 police interceptor / chaser.

All the codes can be seen as per the pictures of the tags along with the verification letter from Ford Australia. The car is currently on club rego which is not transferable. Car will be sold unregistered.

This car has spent most of it's life in storage. It has absolutely no structural rust, only a few bits of small rust as listed below. The car shows no signs of ever being in an accident. The car has never been resprayed so what you see is what you get, No hidden surprises.

To my knowledge, the car is 100% original apart from the following things that were like it when I purchased the car. It has a 9" limited slip disk brake diff with 3.55 centre. Someone along the way has added air conditioning to it. The A/C is not hooked up / working. It has alloy Mickey Thompson rocker covers, a Holly carburettor and a wood rim sports steering wheel. The front seats have velour fronts which I'm not sure if that's how it came out. It's also had clear indicators put on it (I think I have a set of orange ones which will come with the car). The car has also been lowered (not just lowering blocks).

Mechanical the car is very good! When I bought the car I was told the engine had been rebuilt 22,000 K's ago. The engine had a plaque on it from 'Duncan Foster Engineering' dated 14/4/2000. The engine seems to be a very strong motor and I have never had any problems with it. I had the diff centre rebuilt shortly after I purchased it (have receipt). I also put a 3" single exhaust on it. The wheels on it are15" 'chasers' and all 4 tyres have good tread. It is showing around 23,000 k's on the speedo as that was reset when the engine was rebuilt, obviously it would have more k's on it than that.

Apart from what is listed in the verification letter from ford, it also has the following typical 'chaser' components: Tramp rods on the rear. 16:1 manual steering box, sump guard, over riders on front bumper bar and larger alternator.

This car is an original and unmolested survivor car. It is not in perfect condition and has a few imperfections as listed below:

INTERIOR: The carpet in the back on the passengers side has been cut out (I have a new black carpet that will come with the car). The arm rest on the drivers door is a different colour. There is also a speaker hole cut into the front drivers side door card. The plastic mouldings have faded and discoloured (particularly the 'B' pillar ones). The front kick panels are a different colour. The drivers seat material has worn through on the right hand side and it also has a couple of cigarette burn marks in it. Everything on the dash works find except the speedo which is not working.

BODY: There is a small amount of rust at the top of the back window. There is a bit of bog at the front right hands side corner of the roof. You can see where the aerial in the centre of the roof was removed and patched up (bog mark about the size of 50 cent piece). There is also a small bubble about the size of a 20 cent piece on the roof. There is a mark up the front right hand guard and also in the engine bay from where the battery once leaked. Small dent near the 'C' pillar / back guard. The car was fish oiled when put into storage and the fish oil residue is still throughout the car. The drivers side mirror has been repaired and is a bit hard to adjust. Passenger side door lock has different key and the door handle plays up (typical ford).

I have described the car with all its faults as best as I can but may have missed a few minor things. Quite happy to arrange an inspection if required. Please only bid if you intend to buy it! rest assured that my mates will not be 'Bidding it up' and I would be quite happy to show the bidding results to any prospective buyer. I am not in dire need to sell the car and I am only selling as I have to many toys at the moment. Not interested in any swaps!

Thanks for looking.
