Description 1973 Jaguar XKE V12 5.3L e-Type
This is truly a gorgeous, head-turning
XKE; inside and out. It shows no age. This car would easily pass for new today in a Jaguar dealership showroom.
The photos cannot do it justice. It
would take very little to elevate this car’s condition to true #1 Concours
level.
A California car
until 2005. Now in beautiful Vancouver
B.C.
Pampered, very well
maintained. No rust or grime. No
perceptible dents, dings, pits, scrapes or scratches. The wire wheels sparkle
as new.
Everything works as it should. Starts easily, beautiful driver, no smoke,
engine and transmission all very well maintained and smooth running. The
convertible top is in excellent condition and operates perfectly.
Chief Pebble Beach judge John
Carlson’s appraisal document describes this car as:
“The V12 Jaguar is truly stunning. The overall presentation is that of a quality
restored show car. The car runs cool and is a joy to drive. The vehicle’s
brilliant red paint scheme coupled with the black leather upholstery is a
wonderful choice of a factory color for this automobile.
Overall condition: a very strong number two
condition show car. This car would be in
contention as a class winner in most shows it was displayed in.”
This very car was
featured in a cover story in “Sports Car Color History, Jaguar E-Type” magazine
by Matthew L. Stone 1995.
A copy of the
appraisal and magazine article available from the owner upon request. Also, many more
photos.
She has just 68,500
miles.
You will be a very distinguished
owner with no need to spend anything on this car for proud driving and display.
For sale by owner.
