RELISTED DUE TO SOMEONE BIDDING ON IT BY MISTAKE ???

What you see here for sale is a One Super Rare Find a Medium Green Metallic Coloured with Factory 1971 Ford Ranchero GT Ute 1 of 82 Built with this Engine/Transmission Code - this is a Super Rare and Desireable 429 4V Ram Air J Code Cobra Jet V8  Motor, with Heavy Duty C6 Automatic Transmission with Factory Cobra , Lengendary 9" Diff with Nodular Case 3.25 Gears with LSD & 31 Spline Axles and GTHO 10" x 2 1/2" Rear Brakes Power Brakes - has been fitted with aftermarket a/c & cruise control by original owner  !!!

 I brought this car in San Jose California 6 1/2 Years ago from the Original Owner who was 88 Years old - I had to buy 3 x 70/71 Rancheros off him to get it - he wouldnt separate them - there was a 70 Ranchero GT with Factory 3514v & Shaker, Another 70 Ranchero 500 with Factory 429 N Code absolutely loaded with options and this Baby a 71 Ranchero GT with 429 Cobra Jet - when I brought the J Code Ranchero it had a Camper Cover on it - so I knew it was a keeper - the Tub/Tray Area is absolutely spotless and rust free - Last Pic was taken the day I brought it !!!!


This Ute has never left California - It was Sold New in Stockton and I brought ut in San Jose is only 80 miles away - it still has the original Black California Commercial Number Plates on it.

I was planning on restoring it and keeping it for myself - but 6 1/2 years later - who am I fooling - I am never going to get time to do it - so just testing the water with it - if it doesnt sell - it just just sit in the shed - maybe when I get my Torino Cobra 429 Cobra Jet finally finished it might spur me into action

Its is definitely a project car but well worth the effort and is becoming very Valueable in USA!!!

The Original Owner was driving it to work one day back in 1991 and the waterpump went out on him - he had it towed home - pulled the waterpump off and that was as far he got with it - it sat for the next 19 Years in his backyard until I brought it in 2010 - the motor is stuck - when i first got it I removed all the spark plugs and blew everything out - nothing came out - so I oiled it all up and left it to do when I pulled the engine out.

I did start doing some work on it about 5 years ago until I brought my Cobra - I pulled the Diff out and stripped it all and Fully Rebuilt the Original Nodular Case 31 Spline 3.25 LSD Centre with all New USA Timken Bearings & New Wheel Bearings and Fully Rebuilt the GTHO 10" x 2 1/2" Rear Brakes - also I did the shocks and Rear Spring Bushes etc while I was at it , I also put on a set of Genuine Ford 14" x 7" Rivetted 5 Slot Wheels with Geniune Ford Stainless Caps & Bands and Brand New BF Goodrich T/A Radials all round  - I also got the Radiator Stripped, Flushed and put back together as good as new, and that was as far as I got with it

I have got a Date Code Correct D0OE waterpump for it - as well as the Original 7 Blade Fan, timing Cover bolts pulleys  etc etc for it - The Motor is matching number motor with all the original Cobra Jet parts on it including the Quadrajet Carburettor, Alloy Valve Covers and Shaker Hood Scoop - it had an aftermarket a/c unit & cruise control fitted by original owner

I also brought a Freshly Chromed Bumper Boyz Rear Bumper Bar for it - it comes with the car - but I do need the original bumper back off the car to go on another 71 Ranchero GT I have coming in from USA - so you dont get both bumpers sorry -

But I do have a bunch of other parts that I have brought for it that does come with it and I have wrecked heaps of Rancheros / Torinos in USA so can help with lots of spare parts as well - happy to help out with any parts I have here !!!

  It Can be Registered in all States a Left hand Drive - I have the Import Approval Permit etc .

  The Body is 99.9% Rust Free it does have some rust under the battery tray  - but thats the only thing thats going to need welding on the car - its got a couple of minor dings and has had some primer sprayed on a few places of the body by previous owner - but it is all original paint - note the bonnet came off the other ranchero I brought off the man - the original one had the hood hinge area cracked and repaired in the past so I swapped them over - this bonnet is also a factory shaker bonnet and is in excellent condition but thats why its red !!!

 All the Glass is Real Nice and rolls up and down 

The Interior is actually reasonably tidy it does a Need the Seat Reupolstered - but I have Concours Correct Seat Upolstery kit from Dearborn in Factory Green along with a Set of Carpets that come with the car - thats about all the interior needs !!!

Check out the Marti Report - one of only 82 Rancheros built in 1971 - with a 429 Cobra Jet Ram Air Motor and Automatic Transmission - This was the most powerful Ute Ford US every produced conservativley rated at 375hp - How many survived ??? Not Many !!!

  Its getting impossible to find Rust Free Ranchero Utes these days anywhere - Let alone a Super Rare Factory 429 Cobra Jet - Bench Seat Column Change so you can Register it as a 3 Seater - Will Make Great Addition to Any Serious Ford Collectors Garage   - or Great Candidate for a Cool Workshop Promo Truck  !!!


The Last  Photo shows how good this car would look with a paint job and some TLC!!
