Description MGB Roadster 1972 with a cheeky twist 1.8 Turbo 5 Speed mot'd restored body

MGB Roadster 1972   TSK 237K Registered 1st January 1972 Chrome Bumpers just two former owners since 1972

A Wolf in Sheeps clothing.....  A Classic with a cheeky modern twist and plenty of Power !!

Originally left hand drive and imported from dry state California, perfect rot free and original!!
The floorpans, sills, doors, wings are all rot free and straight, body panels have near perfect gaps, I have tried to show this in the pictures.
The paintwork is beautiful, bright and always polished. Thanks to where the car originated it is not your normal rusty, crusty, bodged and filled MGB's you will be extremely pleased with the bodywork inside and out...!

The engine is a NISSAN 1.8 S12 Turbo approximately 130bhp, fantastic Power, Sounds great too beefy but not too loud, you certainly notice the massive Power difference compared to a standard MGB. An absolute fun and exciting car to drive and very reliable, all of the parts are cheap to replace and service can easily be found on ebay etc. It runs and drives great, there is a slight exhaust blow from the manifold gasket 'easy fix' the tyres on the rostyles have plenty of tread but are perished due to age.

What i love about the car is that the engine has been extremely well engineered so that it all fits neatly within the original body, you would never know it from standard. The previous owner completed all of the conversion from left hand to right hand drive and then also the fitting of the Nissan Turbo Charged Engine together with a ** 5 Speed Gearbox ** This makes a huge difference, All of the bulk head had a lot of fabrication work to allow for everything to fit.
It took almost 3 years to complete, I was initially looking for an MGBGT but found the Roadster and could not resist it...!!

Circumstances have changed hence offering the MGB for sale I had planned to change the bucket seats to original mk1 MGB with the lap belts, change the interior from black to the classic red with bright red carpet and then perhaps a matching red mohair soft top. Then fit wire wheels and the chrome bumpers with again the mk1 type chrome overriders. Also i have been quoted £300 to remove the american side indicators, fill and paint to complete the look.

I have purchased the following parts :
A pair of used mk1 seats with useable original leather covers in black
Full bolt on rare wire wheel conversion hubs
Five used good condition wire wheels 14 "
Chrome bumpers front and rear
New bumper fitting kits with new irons
Brand new chrome bumper overidders x 4
Chrome window door handles
Chrome front grille fitted
New mk1 rear lamps teardrop shape
Door cappings used
Half tonneau cover

All of the above parts will be included, you will need a pair of door cards.

MOT expires July 2017 you could use and restore at the same time, classic car insurance even with the power changes just over £100 to insure fully comp!!
Oh yes and *** free road tax ***

Happy to answer any questions, serious buyers only please i do have the right to end early. Deposit by paypal and ideally collection before Christmas.
The car owes me a small fortune i will not give it away and besides its a rare opportunity to have such a great classic B'

Happy bidding
