(condition almost as new)

I have owned this period correct Yamaha
XS650 since 2011. The bike is in excellent condition for age and will suit a
collector or someone who values the XS twins. She still turns heads wherever I
go and people always want to share their XS story!

It’s been a fantastic bike to own
and I’m only selling to fund a new restoration project.

Everything works on this great
bike, nothing is broken or missing. The condition of the bike is very original
and correct, with the only additions being period correct JAMA crash bars (see
pictures) and an updated fuse system. It would be a very easy and enjoyable
project to continue to restore this bike to factory condition, or to simply
jump on and ride around as is – she is a very usable and fun daily rider.

The seat is in GREAT, unrestored
condition.

The engine matches the VIN.

The fork seals are in great
condition and don’t leak.

NEW Bridgestone Battlax tyres
were purchased and professionally fitted in June 2016, and have done very
little work since then (see pictures to show almost no wear).

A NEW Nanogel Powervolt battery
was fitted at the same time.

There are also NEW recently-fitted rubber dampers around the speedo and tacho gauges.

The bike starts great with the
electric starter, and almost every time with the kick starter.  The chrome is all in good condition with
minimal rust, and all gauges and lights are functional.

The bike still has the original factory
exhausts (very difficult to find now).

The purchase includes an almost
impossible to find YAMAHA factory tool roll which came with the bike. I believe
the tool roll is complete for the fastidious collector (see pictures), as well
as a Haynes Owners Workshop Manual and also a Yamaha Supplementary Service
Manual.

You will notice that the label
writing on the dash lights looks a bit scrappy. I'm currently waiting on a
sticker from eBay to replicate the original white writing, which will be
installed prior to sale or forwarded on to the successful buyer.

You’ll have great fun with this
bike. It’s felt like owning a piece of history!

The bike is available for viewing
in Hahndorf SA. My brother-in-law Tristan is obliging and happy to arrange
inspection prior to bidding, and can be reached on 0438828742. Please be kind
to him and don’t muck him around, he’s doing us all a favour by having the bike
close to Adelaide.

Pick up for the successful buyer
will also be from Hahndorf SA. If you want it shipped using a bike courier, you
can arrange that and we’ll do our best to fit in.

Please ask all questions prior to bidding.

Payment options are:

- Direct debit into my account,

- Cash delivered to Tristan on collection of the bike.

I expect payment within 7 days of close of auction, or the bike will be re-listed.
