Description MC19 1988 Honda CBR250r

1988 Honda CBR250R  -
MC19

14,833 Miles (23,733 Km)

Outstanding Japanese-domestic-market-only
motorcycle, featuring a four cylinder (four stroke), gear driven cam, and 18K RPM red line.

I have owned bike for five years and only
run it on non-ethanol gasoline, never tracked it, dropped it,  or ridden in
rain, and regular oil changes and maintenance performed. Ridden regularly, even during winter, to
ensure optimum condition year-round.

Notable maintenance performed:

Two years ago. All bike fluids drained and replaced, new sparkplugs
and new battery installed. Carbs completely rebuilt with new (OEM) gaskets,
O-rings, jet needles, and mixture screws. Piston slides fitted with Viton
diaphragms by NRP Carbs (UK shop). Throttle and clutch cables also replaced.

Last year. New Michelin Pilot tires
installed last summer (less than 1,000 miles on them)

This year. Oil/filter change
early in the summer. Front/rear sprockets and new chain installed this November
(about 50 miles ago) - New rear sprocket is black sprocket shown in close up
picture.

Other:

Bike is 28 years old and it shows
normal sign of wear. Not a museum queen, but a very solid and great looking rider. Minor flaws include specks of rust on some bolts, small
crack on upper left fairing, and paint stripe minor peeling on upper right
faring (shown in pictures). Both upper fairings and cone fairing appear to have
been repaired for cracks and repainted with a high quality paint job. Rear fairings,
seats, and tank look near perfect. All lights, horn, and indicators work. One thing that I noticed recently with headlights, parking (dim) and high beam
modes work fine, low beam shines with same intensity as parking mode however.
Not sure if light bulb issue, but want to mention for full disclosure.

Bike is TITLED in the state of Indiana. For whatever reason (unbeknownst to me) bike was originally titled as a 1994 model. I have never attempted to change with my local BMV. Most importantly, tittle shows correct 11 digit VIN and insurance also not an issue.

Included with sale:

Extra set of carbs (disassembled),
extra fuel pump & fuel filter assembly, workshop manual, and parts manual. Workshop
manual is in English. Parts manual is in Japanese, but actual part numbers in
Roman characters. Also included, new oil filter and three quarts of Honda oil.

Bike can be seen locally (47362 zip code) upon request.
