Description 1979 MORRIS MARINA MK3 COUPE 1300 DELUXE BLUE

WELL YOU DON'T SEE MANY OF THESE IN THIS CONDITION THESE DAYS, IT'S MY MK3 MORRIS MARINA MK3 1300L COUPE IN BEAUTIFUL PAGEANT BLUE, IT HAS 69000 MILES ON THE CLOCK AND RUNS AND DRIVES FAULTLESSLY, NICE AND SMOOTH ENGINE, BOX AND AXLE WITH NO WHINES OR UNDUE NOISES, HAS MOT UNTIL JAN 2017 WHICH IT PASSED LAST TIME WITH NO ADVISORIES AND HAS DONE ONLY A COUPLE OF HUNDRED MILES SINCE. IT'S VERY SOLID WITH NO SIGNS I CAN SEE OF ANY PREVIOUS WELDING TO THE FLOOR OR THE CHASSIS, IT HAS BEEN PAINTED AT SOME TIME A GOOD FEW YEARS AGO I WOULD SAY AND WAS DONE WELL, THERE IS SOME BUBBLING STARTING ABOVE THE O/S FRONT HEADLIGHT BUT THIS LOOKS EASILY SORTABLE AND IS VERY COMMON, THERE IS SOME PEELING IN THE GUTTER CHANNELS AGAIN JUST NEEDS RUBBING BACK AND TOUCHING IN I'M JUST TRYING TO BE TOTALLY HONEST, IT BENEFITS FROM 4 NEW MICHELIN TYRES AS WELL AS A NEW CENTRE EXHAUST SECTION AND NEW RADIATOR AS WELL AS NEW FRONT PADS AND A NEW CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER, ALL THIS WAS DONE BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER TO HELP OBTAIN IT'S CURRENT MOT, THERE IS A BIT OF ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT WHICH IS WHAT I WAS GOING TO DO OVER WINTER BUT I'VE GOT MY EYE ON A NICE ROVER P6 AT A GOOD PRICE (YES THERE IS STILL THE ODD ONE AT A FAIR PRICE AROUND) IT NEEDS A COUPLE OF BITS OF PAINT TOUCHING UP IF YOU ARE BEING FUSSY TO BE HONEST YOU COULD RUN AND USE IT AS IT IS AND IT WOULD NOT SHOW ITSELF UP AT ANY CLASSIC CAR MEET OR SHOW I'M JUST VERY PICKY IT'S VERY STRAIGHT AND SHINES UP WELL,  ALWAYS GETS LOTS OF ATTENTION AND IS A PLEASURE TO DRIVE, THE INTERIOR IS VIRTUALLY IMMACULATE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOME PEELING TO THE VINYL ON THE REAR PARCEL SHELF OTHER THAN THAT THE SEATS CARPET AND HEADLINER ARE EXCELLENT NO RIPS TEAR OR WEAR.I FORGOT TO MENTION THIS WAS A ONE OWNER CAR FROM 1979 TO 2013, AND STILL RETAINS IT'S FACTORY FITTED DEALER PLATES AND REAR WINDOW STICKER (SMAC OF SOUTHEND ON SEA) IT WAS THEN SOLD ONTO A COLLECTOR IN IRELAND WHERE IT WAS VIRTUALLY UN USED FOR 3 YEARS THEN I BOUGHT IT AND HAD IT SHIPPED BACK TO ENGLAND A FEW MONTHS AGO, IT WAS DELIVERED TO MY LOCAL PORT OF HEYSHAM SOME 70 MILES AWAY AND I LITERALLY (AFTER A FEW CURSORY CHECKS OIL, WATER ETC) JUMPED STRAIGHT IN AND DROVE IT NON STOP TO MY HOUSE WITH NO PROBLEMS ITS A BIT HARSH AT ANYTHING ABOVE 60MPH BUT THAT'S JUST THE WAY THEY ARE, BOTH MY GRANDADS HAD THESE BACK IN THE DAY  AND WE USED TO TRAVEL ALL OVER THE COUNTRY IN THE 1300 MARINAS FULLY LOADED  SO THEY WEREN'T ALL BAD.
I'VE OWNED LOTS OF MARINAS OVER THE YEARS AND THIS IS AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER THAN ANY, SOME WITH LOW MILEAGES I THINK THEY RUN AND DRIVE BETTER WITH A FEW MILES ON THEM, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS OR EVEN BETTER COME AND HAVE A LOOK AND A POKE AROUND AND SEE FOR YOURSELF HOW SOLID IT IS, I AM BASED IN THE SOUTH LAKES OF CUMBRIA THERES ALWAYS A BREW ON...
