Description 1982 SUZUKI GP125 Classic Bike Project Barn Find Restoration Cafe Racer L@@K

Firstly thank you the the time waster that bought and then didn't turn up! Please view first and bid second, Bid to buy please.

Up for grabs is my lovely 34 year old Suzuki GP125 Would leave most of today's 125's standing! I had one as a young lad so much fun!

Okay let just jump into this then;

What you see is what you get.

Most of the parts needed to complete it are there! just needs time putting in.

Very cool looking Cafe Racer single saddle with strong rear housing has been made although it could easily but put back to standard...

I can not thick of any that is missing other then: a new back light to complete conversion;
original set, original back light, and rear fairing if you wish to put back to standard.
I was going to complete myself and use as a toy / keep as it's a appreciating classic, i'd honesty expect it to sell for 1200+ finished in today's money

Selling due to work and other projects taking too much time up, still gotta please the wife hahaa

I have located some of the parts and other than that I've only partly disassembled the bike to get to the minor faults it did have.

Things that need doing as a over view;

Comes with 2 looms the one that was on it was hard to get the switch gear (light switches) for very little difference between the 2  in all honestly the replacement does require the GP ignition barrel fitting (comes with 1 Key - No streering lock as its old skool)

Cylinder just needs refitting and that's all good (fitted a new piston) very easy because it's a 2 stroke.

Bottom end of the engine and gears/clutch all turns freely with no tight spots so bottom end is good it's had new points so they will need setting but that's easy.
(magneto rusty probably best to replace for cosmetic reasons)

Bottom end flush with petrol as I poured 2 stroke in the bottom end because I new I was going to leave it standing for a wile.

Breaks still work fine so I'd imagine they just need a service

carb is complete run fine as is but as I removed I bought a kit with new jets mixture screw spring for chock ect to be fitted

The seat isn't right sits 1" to fare back when it's all together

The paint job would benefit from being done again; looks good but not really up to standard cracks in places.

New Suzui Exhaust it will need little modifying to fit as it's not off a GP but looks the same bet needs cutting off as the cylinder end. It's never been fitted to a bike! so super rear as it's very old and looks new;
if you don't wan't to mod that exhause to fit you will have to buy another GP exhaust as the one that came with the bike is in very poor condition

Whats been done;

The guy I brought it off some year and a half ago spent a lot of time and money on this bike!

Wheels power coated black £200
New pirelli tyres £120
New chain and sprocket £35
New rear suspension £45
New Piston £35
Ignition Coil £9.95
Rear brake light switch £7.38
Indicator relay £8.19
Front fork seals done £70
had all the engine casing polished (he did as work)
He made a set and nice looking rear housing that bolts into place in the original bolt holes
and much more, points, indicators, wheel bears

There is very near €200 of invoices for parts bought from www.cmsnl.com (the netherlands) that I can't really make out because they aren't in english.

good bit of paperwork with it and last MOT run out 31st August 2013

Box full of removed/replacement parts included
also there is 2 number plates in there and the headlight side panels,
engine casings stainless nut an bolt set for engine and much more

Viewing is more than welcome

I can't think of anything else right new But please ask if you have a question and genuine interest in the bike

Thank you for taking the time to read
