Description Citroen DS 21 Pallas EFI-5 speed-LHD-1972good running barn find-easy restoration

Hi, welcome to this listing of one of the rarest of Citroen DS's, my  Citroen DS 21 Pallas, EFI, 5 speed manual, LHD saloon,1972.   I am selling this car with regret for personal reasons as I only found it in January of this year and I have already bought some high expenditure items for the restoration. Please note: It is currently on French papers and at my French holiday home, prior to my ownership it had been garaged since 2006 and been kept dry and warm. The odometer is showing 93350 kilometres which judging from the condition I took to be correct. When I first viewed it the engine started easily and was quiet and smoke free. I collected it a week later, it started easily and despite having a fairly heavy leak from the steering rack the suspension rose up ok and it drove 300 meters along the road then up and onto my trailer, then off again under its own power with no issues. It drove around the large car park outside my house, then was placed in my garage, where it has remained since.

The car is in good shape, attractive and with a running 2.1 EFI engine, working manual foot clutch and 5 speed manual gearbox(this combination is RARE), suspension rises and falls ok and stays up when engine is turned off. The power steering rack has a fairly quick leak and I have just acquired another one in reputedly good condition to replace it with. This can be rebuilt prior to fitting as kits are easily available. The chrome/stainless steel is in fairly good, bright overall condition with a few age related marks. The tyres are reasonable and all hold air well. The photos show the car with rear wings off but they are fine and just taken off the car to facilitate tie down during transportation.

There are some small areas of rust to attend to but it has no serious rust issues, mostly panel and surface area problems.
The car was originally light blue metallic with the fabulous Pallas blue cloth interior but it has been painted red with a black roof, a pleasing combination. Although with some fading and some blistering which will need rectifying I feel the majority of the red paint could be saved and would come up well. The car has incorrect Pallas brown leather seat coverings fitted, these are not original and which need some work to be serviceable, so I took the decision to have a complete interior set of coverings professionally made, correctly pleated to original Pallas specification in a luxury blue velour cloth with light silver vinyl. New seat covers and door coverings, including the vinyl door tops, bottoms, seat backs and parcel shelf. The original blue carpets are in good useable condition. I am/was intending to repaint the roof to silver, tying in the red, blue, silver colour scheme and bring it all together. It will be a truly stunning example of the breed when finished. I can also organise and or complete work on the car to get her roadworthy here for prospective purchasers (at their expense) who may wish to drive her away.
Buyers must satisfy themselves as to the car's actual condition and take my description as only my honest opinion of the car(but please read my feedback), it is currently an unroadworthy old classic car which holds lots of variables for different interpretation.

Winning bidders must pay for the car 100% before collection, the car will not be released until all funds, cash or otherwise are completely cleared into my account/bank.

To all those parties that are genuinely interested in this rare car investment you can call me direct to discuss further on 07736421735, if I don't answer in person please try again or leave an 'e' or landline as I will not chase mobile calls. I will discuss visits to view and aid with collection from nearby airports or you can organise independent inspection. I will also help with organising shipping and delivery at the buyers expense, I will only sell to a reasonable and fair price, I will not entertain offers below my very low reserve, I will not lower the price bid for whatever reason, do not expect to haggle in front of the car. I ask that a reasonable 10% deposit must be paid at end of auction.
I also reserve the right to end this listing at any time. Thanks for reading, good luck.
