Renault 19 1.4 TSE! 68000 miles! One of the last if not the last in the UK! For Sale

 Welcome to my auction for one of the last, if not, the last Renault 19 1.4 TSE in the UK.
The car is a reluctant sale. It was given to me by a friend last year,  who held it in the family, the first owner having been his father, then himself and he then passed it on to me, as he had 3 cars parked in his street and had to get rid of two. As a kind gesture  he gave me  this Renault. It was a runner, but now it's just sitting in parking with a dead battery and registered off the road, as I can't drive at the moment.
The car is a classic and one of the last 16 in the UK, last time I checked online. It has 68309 miles on the clock, very low for the vintage and it was well looked after. It has now been sitting since last Summer in parking, which is probably not doing it any good. Someone damaged the side skirting as seen in the pics but it's an easy fix.
The engine might need a little attention as it needs an air hose clip I believe, a new battery and when I gave it a wash and a vaccum a month ago, I popped the hood out of curiosity and noticed it has a little surface rust on parts of the engine (when I also noticed that the clip was missing).
The body is in great shape. It does have central locking but it does not work, a mechanic told me that in these cars and in this particular case, it's an easy fix, that it could literally be fixed with a tennis ball cut in half as it is a pressure system! Tyres are in good shape too.
The great thing about it is that replacement parts are cheap and it's considered one of the most reliable classics you could own, even as a daily runner.
The interiors are in great shape, all Renault original from the era and it has a sunroof. The car is spacious and very comfortable.
I would say, this is a car perhaps for a collector with a garage and a very easy restore, needing just a little attention, but I suppose even if you are not a collector/restorer  but you are good with cars you could easily get it up and running.
It was a runner last year, but due to my current circumstances, it's been parked for a while now and it is a shame as it is a great looking car too.
