Description Royal Enfield Model G 1950 classic vintage fully restored

Royal Enfield Model G 1950

I have for sale my fully rebuilt Model G which I completed
about 18 months ago but I now have decided to sell.

In the 1990’s the previous owner had completely and carefully
stripped down the bike and every part bagged and itemised, then abandoned  the project so all the original parts were there
for me to start the work.

The frame was stripped shotblasted and then primed and
painted two pack black.

The engine has had a full strip, cases vapour blast and all
parts checked and replaced where required using only genuine RE British made
old stock parts where possible. The big end was in good state so not replaced.
New piston, rebored cylinder and head has new valves and guides which gives the
bike excellent compression. Gearbox has been stripped and rebushed and new
bearings with oilseals making it totally oil tight, no drips. Chaincase is also
free from drips. New sprockets front and rear.
Magneto has been professionally rebuilt and gives an unbelievable spark
which will start the bike first kick. All joints are oil tight with no drips, no oil slick.

The wheels have been rebuilt using British rims and
stainless spokes and has new tyres fitted. Forks rebuilt, new exhaust and many
other parts chromed to give this bike a good finish but not “over the top”

Tank has been cleaned prior to painting and the RE name was
hand painted by a sign writer in antique gold finish before a lacquer coat.

The magneto has been rebuilt and is in good working order
but not connected as I ran the electrics from a battery for horn only. Lights
all work but control box is not connected although in full working order and
wiring is all present.

This bike is as near perfection as the day it left Redditch,
in fact is better now with better Magneto, newer bearings and modern paint
finish. It looks a stunning bike as I have tried to keep it standard all over.

Today I have just drained the fuel tank, added new fuel and
it stared first kick after a long winter lay up.

Currently on SORN. Trailer or van required to take away.

UK bidders only please, I will not take bids from any
overseas bidders unless they contact me before bidding.
