Description 1965 Other Makes Westfield Lotus Seven SEi

LOTUS WESTFIELD SEVEN
(SEi) BUILT in 1995 and registered as a 1965.
This
is a factory built and authorized replica of the Lotus Westfield Seven from
England. Imported To Westfield Cars of North America. This turnkey sports car cost
$26,000 new. with only 2050 miles and has been garaged since new.
Powered
by a Ford 1700cc Kent crossflow with twin Weber DCOE 151 carburetors with five speed
transmission (overdrive 5th.)
The
rear end is based on an independent rear suspension system which uses the Ford
Sierra “B” type differential with Westfield drive shafts and wishbones.
Four
wheel disc brakes, front and rear suspension are double wishbone with
adjustable coil over shocks.
TOYO
Proxes FZ4 P195/50 R15 tires mounted on PRIME Seven spoke alloy wheels. The
spare is full size and has matching tire.
Gauges
included are Speedo, Tachometer, temp, fuel and oil pressure. Two speed heater
and two speed wipers.
Four-point
seat belt harnesses.
Tan
top has never been used on the car. The car also has a tonneau cover (flat cockpit cover) that can
be half-opened so that just the driver’s side is open. The side curtains/doors
slip into the sides of the windshield post and provide excellent wind blockage.
Trunk stores top and frame mechanism and still has room for storage.
Fiberglass
body set on tube frame with all aluminum underpinnings. Interior professionally
done and all assembly done correctly. This car weighs only 1350 pounds.
The
car was owned by one other person before me – I purchased it in 2002. It was hand-built
in Oregon in 1995 by Bob Yarwood, a
former Rolls-Royce Aircraft engineer from the UK. He imported and built a lot of them
to spec for customers. The motor has two twin-choke 40 DCOE 151 Weber carburetors.
