Bentley T1 1974 , Barn Find !! For Sale

This listing is for my 1974 Bentley T1 was originally all dark metallic blue  understand these are rarer than the rolls royce silver shadows think 800 or so where built .


I bought the Bentley with intentions of restoring it but due to family and work commitments im not going to have the time .


First off The Bentley will need the V5 applying for i was going to apply for it myself just completely forgotton about it still have the form . Ive checked the id matches with the reg.


The Cheshire demo reg plate I've had valued at £5000 to £6500 By more than one firm .


Sold new from jack Barckley London I have been told they hold records dating back to the 20s . If researched you might find it may have had a famous first owner


Front grill surround was stolen before I bought it.inner section is in the car rest of the car is complete.


BODY


No nasty rot in the car inner sills are good. floor and legs also good it's outer sills £190 each.  rear arches full quarter panels available on eBay at the moment. Or repair section from flying spares again not really expensive. Repair section on front wings needed . all panels are available on flying spares .


INTERIOR


White leather is pretty good these could be fed and a dye used


Dash and door capping have cracking on veneer not too nasty .


ENGINE SUSPENSION


I've had the engine running runs very sweet for its age . But come to start it again and it sounded like the started motor broke took starter motor off tested it worked fine looked at the flywheel ( starter ring ) and noticed 2 teeth have broken off common fault for these. Seen them on ebay going for around £50 to £150


Looks like suspension has had money spent on it at some point lot of new bushes.


brake calliper look recent  but the brake pipes are badly coroded.  Gearbox selects all gears fine all fluids are clean


Last had an mot in 1997 probably a wedding car looking at the colour it is now.
