Description 1970 Other Makes Rover P6 3500S

things to mention
You’re looking at a 1970 Rover P6 3500S. It’s got a 215ci V8, it’s a factory BW35 3-speed automatic, and the odo shows 32k miles on the clock. It’s finished in factory Corsica Blue with a beige leather interior.
Rover imported the P6 into the US between 1966 and 1971, and the V8 model for 1970/71 only. This particular car is about halfway through the V8 production run, and has had an awful lot of work / enhancements made over the years. As a genuine NADA-spec P6, it has just about every possible factory option - most of which actually work. It has a factory A/C, electric windows all round, trunk-mountable spare, Icelert low temperature warning, full dual-circuit brakes, and factory Rostyle wheels.
I’ve owned this car for a while, and I’m selling because I don’t need two V8 P6s; I own another 3500S that I’m keeping. This car had sat for around ten years before I purchased it; it’s been in Washington / Oregon most of its life and has a clean and clear WA title. She starts first time every time with a couple of throttle pumps, drives straight and true, and makes no unexpected noises…. well, aside from people stopping you who want to know what the strange blue car is.
Some upgrades that have been performed include:
The paintwork is a newer respray in the original Corsica Blue color; it’s good, clear, and shiny . There’s a small dent (0.5”) in the passengers’ front door. Underneath looks good; there is some minor surface rust on the offside sills (see pics) but no holes and the trunk floor / passenger compartment floor / arches / outriggers / windshield surrounds are 100% solid. There’s no evidence of any body damage. It’s fitted with whitewall tires all round, which have at least 3/4 tread remaining.  It’s got both front and rear seat belts, all of which work.
Other recent work includes:
Right now, it’s in excellent daily driver or good show car condition, but it’s not perfect - it does need a few things to make it truly superb. These are:
Aside from that, condition-wise - I’ll let the photos speak for themselves . If there’s anything in particular you’d like to see photos of, please let me know. The car is located just outside of Portland, Oregon. I know these cars fairly well - this is my fifth - so please ask questions and I’ll do my best to answer whatever I can. Please note that I can only attach 24 photos to this listing - if you'd like to see an album of 80+ photos, please contact me using the "ask a question" link.
Some admin stuff - you’re bidding to buy, not to kick tires. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. I require a deposit of $250 to secure within two days of auction end (nonrefundable if you back out), and the balance in cash or cashiers’ check before I’ll release the car. I’m more than happy to assist with storage or shipping, but - unless other arrangements are made - I’d like the car picked up within seven days.
