Description Honda XR75 XR 75 K0 1973 Rare survivor vintage highly collectable motorcycle

Here is a rare opportunity to secure a "scarce as hens teeth" vintage motorcycle.
It is a Honda XR75 K0, 1973 model. These were the first of the XR75 models produced. They are well known for the classic bubble shaped tank which were unique to this model XR only. They are the most highly sought after by collectors, enthusiasts and restorers. They are arguably the best and most attractive of all the X75's too.
This one is in very original, relatively unmolested condition. It starts easily, runs like a clock and rides very well, although it is a little louder than normal due to having a hole in the muffler. It is very clean and tidy looking for its age. Obviously though, being a 43 year old bike it is not like new, so please don't expect it to be. It has not been restored. It is very close to being all original. 
The tyres look to be the original IRC Tractor Grips. They hold air and have tread but obviously have cracks in the rubber and are not as pliable as a new tyre being more than 40 years old. The chrome wheels are covered in surface rust. The chrome on the handle bars and forks is not perfect but not too bad. The tank has a few dints and the paint on it looks to be original with some fading. It looks as though the guards and side plates may have been painted at some stage and one of the side plate decals have been replaced. The Honda sticker on the front guard is covering two drilled holes that I don't think are meant to be there. The front forks work well and have no leaks. The rear shocks are the original adjustable Showa shocks and they function well too. The muffler is an original one but it appears to have had several repairs over the years and it has a hole in it now which makes the bike sound a little louder than normal but not too bad. The hole is not visible on photos as it is at the back of the muffler, near the right shock absorber. The seat is tidy with no tears but has one or two abrasions. There are only a few parts on the bike that I can see that are not original. It has a non original swing arm bolt (easily replaced if you can find one) The carburettor has been upgraded to a Kehin carb off a later model XR. The front number plate looks identical to an original metal one but appears to be made of fibreglass. Please look closely at the photos as they give the best indication of the condition/ appearance of the bike
There are a few bits and pieces that I have recently replaced or added to make the bike complete. It has a new genuine fuel cap as the old one did not seal. It has new handgrips and lever rubbers as the old ones were too perished. It also has a new kick start rubber and gearshift rubber. A new lower chain guard and rear brake pivot pin. A few missing nuts, bolts and screws were also replaced here and there (all genuine Honda parts to keep this machine as original as possible).
There are many things that you could do with this bike. It has a beautiful vintage patina, so could be left as is, put on display and perhaps ridden occasionally as a rare survivor bike. It could be ridden as is (probably needs new tyres for safety if you plan to ride hard and/or often). You could restore it. This would be a very easy restoration as pretty much all of the original parts are already there and in pretty good condition. Would be an ideal first resto in my opinion but probably not real challenging for a hard core restorer.
It's obviously up to the purchaser what they wish to do with this bike, however, I would hate to see this one go to somebody who just intends to part the bike out for spares. These bikes are way too special and way too rare to do this in my opinion. I am selling this bike as I have too many other projects on the go. The funds from this sale will go toward completing other projects.
