1965 Mustang Coupe “A” Code with Challenger
Special V8 225HP CID 4V.Comes with the following factory options:• 4 Speed Manual T10 Transmission.• Original Vintage Burgundy X Code Metallic
Paint.• Front Kelsey Hayes Disc Brakes.
The car has also had added at some point the GT
options (it is not a factory GT)
Dual exhaust with GT rear valance.
GT fog lights.
GT Side Stripes.
GT Side Badges (Correct Pony Trim, Molding and Quarter
trim delete.)
Styled 14” wheels.
Grab a Track handling package including uprated
front and rear anti-roll bars and firmer dampers.
Vintage Arvinode exhaust fitted. This gives a
vintage muscle car sound and is certainly not quiet.
Hurst shifter kit fitted.This is a condition #2 car.The car was built at the San Jose plant in
California. It is an original “black plate” California car meaning it has lived
all of its life in the "dry state" of California, so no rust. It has
been in the UK for 5 years.Outside the car:Paint has minor flaws and touch ups in keeping
with age and condition of car as to be expected of a 50 year old "survivor"
car. The door handles, tail light bezels, chrome
and brightwork are all good.
The car has 225/70 14" tyres 60% left at
the rear and 215/70 14” tyres 60% left at the front.
Inside the car:Seat covers & door panels have no rips or
tears. Head liner good.Dash area is clean and presentable. Front and rear windows operate correctly and
windows go up and down smoothly.Fuel gauge does not currently work.Wipers, turn signals, main and dipped beam
headlights and horn all work.Heater fan works.
Boot area clean and spare wheel with good tyre.The car has a working vintage AM radio.Chassis and engine bay:The car has a clean engine compartment with no
oil leaks from valve covers or hoses. Aftermarket air cleaner and valve covers.It has a straight, under carriage with rust
free floor pans.
There is an old repair to one of the frame rails
from minor jacking damage.
This is a very solid rust free car.
Pinch weld under rocker is absolutely clean with no
rust.Exhaust is 12 months old.
Driving:Car starts right away and idles well once
warm.Transmission shifts correctly in all four gears.Tracks straight and does not pull left or
right.Suspension tight – ride is quite firm.
Body roll is kept to a minimum due to the
aftermarket suspension kit.
The Arvinode exhaust sounds superb but is not for
the feint hearted.
A true survivor rust free classic 65, in one
of the most sought after colours and with many desirable options.Many more photos available on request.
