1972 MERCURY MARQUIS 2 DOOR COUPE, VERY RARE CAR EVEN IN THE USA For Sale

Here we have my '72 Mercury Marquis 2 door coupe, a very rare car even in the States, most were 4 door sedans or hardtops, i do not know of another in the UK
Arguably the 1972 model year is the prettiest being the only year with the egg crate grilles front and rear.
This is a factory triple black car making this one even rarer, the paint for the most part appears to be original and even after over 40 years of aging still looks stunning.
Last year i had a brand new vinyl roof fitted professionally by a local trimmer and using the correct factory pattern material.
Also last year i fitted a new fuel tank, the old one did'nt leak but it just looked a bit tired. I seem to remember i gave the car a full service at that time
Prior to that i had the seats re-trimmed in leather by another local trimmer and they too are absolutely like new.
The headlining, carpets, door trims and dash pad are all factory original and really nice. 
The drivers seat area was the only place showing a little wear so i had all the seats re-done so that they matched perfectly. Yes, i am very fussy about detail !!!
I so rarely use this car which is why i'm selling, with my revived interest in drag racing over the last few years the Mercury just hardly ever gets used.
It sits in a heated dust free garage so always looks its best, i can go out to it anytime and it always starts first time.
The last time it did any great distance was to Wheels Day where it was spotted by the Classic American magazine, they have just done a photo shoot on the car so it will be featured soon.
Driving the car is an absolute delight, at 70 mph you can barely hear a thing, it just wafts along, and for an extremely large car handles exceptionally well.
The car is completely stock, no modifications and everything works as it should with the exception of the clock. Even the original AM radio still works, and even the air operated headlamp doors - very rare.
I have examined the underside whilst up on a ramp when being MOT'd and i can find no signs of any rust, and also no advisories on the MOT certificate.
I'm not desperate to sell, as i said earlier, the car just hardly ever gets used so it might as well go to someone who will use and enjoy it more than i.
Payment would be preferably by bank transfer to my company account and a company invoice will be issued. I only accept cash for the purpose of a deposit. Deposits in all cases are non refundable.
