Description TVR 350i (1985)

TVR 350i Wedge 1985
Polar
White with burgundy interior.
Please
note TVR requires restoration
This is not the Tasmin but the later revised '350i' model, which is less angular and far better looking.
****Apologies to bidders on previous advert but E bay would not let me add photos or add further comments for interested parties****
Fitted
with SEAC type lower bodywork panels and additional flared arches.
Mechanically
runs fine and does not use/burn oil but requires full restoration or
could be used as track day special or donor for other Rover V8 engine sport
car.
I
have owned this vehicle for some nine years since 25/10/2006 and bought it
for its registration number, which I recently transferred now I am back in the
UK.
I
intended to restore it as it sounds wonderful and with 200 hp under the
bonnet of a fibreglass/space frame car it can be quite a handful.
Unfortunately
apart from fitting a replacement steering rack and a couple of fluid / filter changes I
have never got around to starting the restoration proper due to working
overseas.
It
has remained languishing in the garage for several years with the occasional
run to keep everything free.
Due
to health reasons I now have to accept that I will never restore it
and it is offered for sale without any reserve,
Would
make a good rolling restoration / winter project.
The
bodywork has superficial cracks in the usual areas and the majority
of the chassis although solid including the outriggers have surface corrosion
which will require treating if it is intended to use the vehicle in the
winter/wet.
 The TVR will require an
overhaul of the running gear, which amounts to a couple of days work in a
workshop or a few weekends in the hands of a competent amateur mechanic.
I
intended to take the body off as I have done previously with other TVRs to thoroughly
restore it, which is a surprisingly simple task as it is merely bolted to the
chassis and can be lifted off by a few people.
I
have a ventilated disc conversion to fit on the front as the current brakes
soon fade if the car is used anywhere near to its full potential.
I
also have a set of new suspension bushes.
The
tyres are some 4 years old but are virtually new.
They
are 245/ 45 ZR16 on 7 inch alloys.
The
interior is worn and faded and will need replacing as does the
dashboard and door capping veneer.
I
have learnt since buying the car that in common with many TVRs of this era
and its power to weight ratio, it has been subject of a damage / accident
report on 13/04/1993 prior to the current DVLA damage category system. Whatever
repairs were undertaken have stood the test of time.
I
have some history and restoration / tuning manuals that come with it.
No reserve as I have resigned myself to selling it on to another enthusiast / classic car restorer and health circumstances.
Inspection/test
drive welcome.
Payment
by cash or completed BACS only.
