Description Triumph Spitfire MK3 (Overdrive)

The time has come for me to consider selling my Spitfire Mk3, due to lack of use.
Anybody who's done research on these cars will know that the Mk3 is the most desirable and sought after of all spitfires.

I have owned this car for 15 years and throughout my ownership it has been garaged.

I bought the car in July 2000 from a local owner who had just carried out  major restoration and a high quality respray.

Throughout my ownership I have taken it to various shows across the UK and has proved reliable and easily maintained.

Back in 2010 whilst returning from a show the engine blew a piston ring which instigated an engine rebuild. I took this opportunity to carry out a major mechanical restoration where everything was removed from the engine bay. The front chassis and bulkhead were stripped back to bare metal, rust treated and resprayed. The car was then rebuilt and incorporated all new parts as follows.

Engine rebuild consisting of brand new piston rings, big and shells etc.
Brakes overhauled consisting of; new master cylinder overhaul kit, new pads and shoes, new calipers, new handbrake cables, suspension overhaul, new shockers all round, new nylon bushes and new steering rack joints.  General Upgrades New hood fitted in 2010, still looks brand new as there are no rips or tears.
Stainless steel straight through exhaust (Sounds Great!)
Brand new minilight alloy wheels which were fitted in June 2013 Overall the car is not concourse but is considerably better that 90% of spitfires I see at the various shows across the country.

The Good Points;  The car has had considerable money spent on it during my ownership to keep it mechanically sound and presentable.
its proved very reliable and easily maintained. The Bad Points;  The cars very presentable however it has some paint bubbling around the wheel arches and lower bonnet will require some attention.
The seats have tear marks to the upper outside edges where the hood frame has been rubbing against.  The car has an agreed insurance valuation of £6000 and I'll accept an offer in that region.

All reasonable offers will be considered however, I'm in no rush to sell, so no silly offers or time wasters please.
