Description 1962 MG MIDGET LENHAM GT
MG Lenham GT
Built some 3 years
ago using a new Lenham GT rear body and an Ashley front body using original
moulds
Fully professionally
refurbished 1962 MG Midget MK 1 quarter elliptic steel shell. This well known car
was built to a hill climb/fast road spec to replicate the famous John Britten
modsport racer SS1800 raced in the late 60's.
Engine Spec:-
1340cc A+ block with
Piper cam, Maniflow exhaust, built by respected engine builder and Mini racer,
Bill Richards. Recent dyno set up showing 100 Bhp at the flywheel. very
tractable engine for fast road or hills. The engine is only 900miles old.
Gearbox:-
Ford type 9, 5 speed
with Frontline bell housing conversion.
Suspension:-
Frontline front
suspension with adjustable AVO telescopic adjustable shocks.
Rear suspension -
Frontline RTL multilink with adjustable telescopic AVO's
The handling using
this set up is just fantastic! and was recently set up by Frontline
in there Oxfordshire factory.
Brakes:-
Front callipers and
discs are Frontline uprated items with the rear standard. A 3:1 servo is fitted
to help my duff back!
Electrical:-
Custom wiring harness
with electronic ignition. High torque starter motor, alternator and inline
electrical thermostat for multiblade electrical fan, re-sited battery position,
Red top fuel pump with regulator.
Interior:-
High spec full roll
cage with only the rear fitted at the moment.
Comes complete with full race cage and door bars
Rigard leather race
seats with Willans full harness belts.
14 inch Motolita
steering wheel.
IF ITS NOT NEW ITS RECONDITIONED. Newish MOT and RFL Nil.
Easy conversion to 'standard specification' /FIA spec
(Change G/Box, front shockers,wheels and tyres)
Cheap entry to HRDC Racing.
