listing this bike for my good friend who has been working on these old kawy's for 25 years
 look at my feedback, 100% from 2001,
 This bike is absolutely stunning, owned for 16 years and built over this time finishing recently but 2 recent neck surgeries make wearing a helmet and riding uncomfortable and so reluctantly he has decided to sell his pride and joy, it deserves to be ridden, i have ridden it and it is like a new bike as it should be as all of it is new other than the rare aftermarket steering stop. below is the list, i can ASSIST in shipping as i have sold bikes to europe and the US, contact a shipping company for a quote, i cant give you one. 1976 KZ 900 Frame # Z1F 115241


-Frame was professionally gusseted by Led Schmek ( Cycle Associates / Panther Machine ). It retains all the factory foot mounts etc, standard 1976 battery box. The bracket for the signals and sissy bar was removed due to the shock angle to use the Suzuki GS swing arm.The signals were then mounted rearward off the tail light bracket. Taper steering head bearings. The frame has been powder coated as with most of the black parts throughout.

-Cylinder deck has been has been parallel surfaced with crank center  ( .020 thou Wiseco fiber base gasket )
-Cylinder bores have been machined to accommodate aftermarket oversize LA sleeves
-Main cap was machined for HD  support plate
-Windage tray added
-Teflon timing chain guide in main cap
-MTC HD Main studs and Cylinder studs
-MTC HD Head nuts
-Swing gate baffle installed in pan
-Falicon crank ( early 1000 77 / 78 full counter weights ) magnafluxed , trued, welded, balanced , thrust washers added , aftermarket 16 tooth center pin.
-MRE welded and balanced clutch basket
-MRE Race cut KZ trans, Billet 2nd gear input , Andrews Performance Overdrive 5th gear Billet Input & Output 1:1 ratio final drive.
-Liska Performance Billet 3rd gear "large" shift fork
-New Kawasaki "small" shift forks
-Schnitz Racing Super Double Input shaft / clutch basket bearing
-Kawasaki OEM oil drain by pass tube
-MTC Torrington pressure plate bearing kit
-Fast by Gast clutch fibres / NEW Kawasaki steels
-MTC HD "red" clutch springs
-New Kawasaki starter clutch & gear
-New Kawasaki shift lever
-1015 Barrel has been bored to use LA sleeves, The current bore is 1105 Wiseco. These sleeves can safely go to 1200 cc and still retain adequate wall thickness for proper cooling and cylinder stability.
-Early 1000 cylinder head with 8 mm exhaust studs and pre pollution. MRE performed all machine work. Stainless valves , Bronze guides , HD valve springs , Kibble & White seals , Head clearanced for large lift ( Machine cut NOT done with a die grinder ). Titanium retainers / Shim under Buckets. Resurfaced.

-Lester wheels 19 X 2.15 front & 18 X 3.00 Rear. The wheels were professionally reconditioned by Panther Machine. Repolished, painted, clear coated, new bearings.
-New tires Bridgestone & Metzler


-Brake rotors . Rear is standard 1978 Z1R, Front rotors are the early 6mm thick type custom drilled with the 1978 Z1R pattern. All rotors were then professionally resurfaced.
-All calipers are standard KZ 1000 . Fully rebuilt with OEM parts. Pistons , seals , shafts etc.
-Rear pads are Ferodo
-Front pads are Kawasaki Optional Extreme Duty Units NLA ( kits come with heat shield spacer at piston ).
-Calipers powder coated, wrinkle finish , fools gold
-NOS Front Brake Master cylinder, Tokico 11/16ths bore
-NOS Rear Brake Master cylinder 5/8ths bore
-Full Steel braided brake lines front and rear


-All OEM body work and NOS emblems and gas cap. Custom Paint scheme
-NOS Fenders / taillight / Signals & stalks
-PMC replacement seat


-Suzuki rear swing arm, New shock bushings and bearings and rollers
-Fitted OEM Kawasaki chain guard, rechromed
-Marzochi rear piggy back shocks with air suspension assist
-Front triple clamps "doubled" by Jim Skillen of Big Bore racing and research. -Fork tubes are aftermarket units which are slightly longer and thicker wall. 36 mm . Aftermarket S&W dampening rods, and performance springs. -NOS MC cycle air suspension

-Both Meters professionally rebuilt and calibrated at Z resto. Bob Harrington USA. ( And show total mileage on entire bike )
