Description E30 BMW 325i Convertible with Rare Factory Hard Top (1988)

This 325i has been maintained regardless of cost with recent works including a top end engine rebuild, wheel bearings, coil springs, suspension bushes & mountings, steering rack, and new soft top hood.
This car also comes with an interesting private registration number (C785JOE). Similar plates are on sale for over £1,000.
This car was first registered to a buyer from the Channel Islands in January 1988; it then had the important running-in inspection done at 370 miles and despite the cars relatively modest mileage there are 22 stamps contained within the service book and a huge amount of supporting invoices. The car has had three previous owners with two in the Channel Islands before it was bought by a UK resident in 2007. The original owners manuals and handbooks are still present.
Within the history file there is a certificate of verification from BMW confirming all numbers, codes and spec.
Finished in Alpine White this 3 series is in a great condition and benefits from the the incredibly rare factory hard top that is in new condition. The soft top hood was replaced recently and consequently is also in excellent condition. The paint finish is good, but it should be noted there are a few age related blemishes visible upon close inspection. The black trim does not suffer from any fading and the rear spoiler is free from the usual cracks and sun damage. The majority of chrome work is like new with the exception of two small area on the front and rear bumpers that are showing some early signs of corrosion. The underside of the car is showing no signs of corrosion whatsoeverINTERIORThis example comes with black leather sports seats. There is some expected minor cracking to the drivers seat bolsters and small tear. The carpets and plastic trim are in excellent condition. Although not installed, the original BMW radio cassette player is still present and supplied with the car. In the boot there is a spare alloy wheel and tyre which is in good condition and the tool kit which remains complete.ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThis 325i has a very tidy engine bay and you can tell instantly it has been well maintained. Despite only covering very light mileage over the years the mechanics have been meticulously maintained with regular engine flushing, oil changes, filters (fuel and oil), coolant renewal and belt changes and consequently all the mechanics are in fine order. The car had a top end engine rebuild in 2009 at a cost of over £2,000. The 4 speed switchable automatic gearbox pulls through the gears easily.WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESFitted to the car are the 14" BBS alloy wheels all of which are in good condition. The tyres are all brand new and have covered only 50 miles. The brakes work as they should pulling the car up in a straight line.
and test drives are welcome and highly recommended so you can see
this car and its qualities for yourself.
