FOR SALE
KAWASAKI KMX 125
I bought this bike unseen and was told it just required an engine rebuild.
When the bike was delivered it came as a rolling chassis and the engine was all in bits.
I always wanted another one of these because I used to have one when I was 17 and absolutely loved it.
I bought this bike with the intention of using as a field bike.
The engine has been rebuilt by me and I rebuilt the engine replacing the Main bearings, gaskets, new gear box bearings, engine oil seals. After rebuilding the engine I took the bike for a ride off road and the bike just doesnt have enough grunt for my needs even though the engine runs great. I am a lot bigger than I used to be and used to much bigger engine sizes.
After this I lost interest in the bike and its been my intention to fix it up to put on the road but I don`t have the time.
This bike is a fully functioning field bike! If you want to put back on the road it will need a good day or two spending on it along with new parts being required.
Here is a list of area that would need attention but I recommend viewing this bike.
Fork seals Rear wheel General bolts tightening
Lights Wiring Odd bolts missing from frame
Dent in tank Petrol cap lock Pillion footpegs securing
2 stoke oil pump setting up Tacho sticks at 7000 rpm but engine reving past
Mirrors New decals Brakes blead or setup and a few other various bits
I know the engine is worth £300-400 on its own but I don`t want to mess round splitting it.
It has good tyres, chain and sprockets, brake pads.
At some point before I owned the bike has been stolen recovered and the bike has been given a new chassis number plate. Therefore the ignition switch has been changed but unfortunately nobody has ever put a new barrel back in the petrol cap so although the key opens it the cap is not securely lockable.
To sum the bike up would be a good little field bike or will need a couple of hundred pound plus a day or two working on it to put on the road.
I do have a digital copy of the Workshop manual that I can email.
For more information it would be best discussing this with me in person on 07891747133
